i wish the sims would actually release packs that work on launch. their dlc is expensive and im tired of pretty much just paying for my game to break, especially when the idea of the packs themselves seem so cool :/

I recommend putting your sim's crystal charger on their balcony because if you have kleptomaniacs in the neighborhood they will get stolen. And moving it to an inaccessible location (roof) temporarily if throwing a party of any kind in your sims home. My starter test sim had a cut gemstone stolen by a member of the welcome wagon. Sadly, so many of my famous sim's cut gemstones and jewelry have been stolen right of the charger grid by paparazzi. And especially if you have a butler, they've got super sticky fingers for jewelry and art.😂

The cut crystals are decorative cristals, seperate from the jewelry. You can charge them and for example put a skill boosting one on a shelf near a skill item

I’m not sure if you know or have heard, but there are some new game breaking bugs. These bugs came about after the update for the newest pack. As a precaution you may want to have a back up save. People have been recommending not playing with legacy or important game saves. Just wanted you to know in case you haven’t heard.

Now you should implement the wear slippers inside rule for some of the buildings in Tomarang to tie in the southeast Asian culture

There's a bug with BBB that makes the Crystal Grid not function correctly - the info text when hovering over it won't show what's being charged and how long is left etc. Just to let you know, that's why you're having trouble figuring that part out. It might have been updated when you read this Also, don't put crafted jewelry on/remove it too many times or your Sims will have their physics and genes distorted - fun time, to be a Sims player, eh? xD

I'm sure someone else has done this, but I just spent some time checking what jewelry stacks and worked out that you can wear up to 9 pieces of jewelry at once: one necklace, one set of earrings, 2 bracelets (One on each wrist), and 5 rings. I did a rags to riches with jewelry making for my new generation that I started. My sim was LOADED within a sim week because the jewelry sells for so much. I'm glad that everything works well for you and great video. I missed this series!

Personally I think the rent would be more accurate if you kept the tenants in for 7 days, waited to adjust prices until you’ve been paid for a week at the same price. Just my thoughts!

Hey James, you should be able to tell how long an item will take on the charge grid and also how long that charge will remain when it’s in your inventory. I wasn’t able to see that either, just like you until I removed Better BuildBuy. Also, I’m so happy Rent to Riches is BACK!!!!

Oh my god, the amount of work to resurrect this lets play!!! You have the oarient of a saint James. So yeah, I too had to basically delete a bunch of buildings I created at the launch of For Rent, some of it was recoverable from gallery backups, some weren’t. Didn’t have to disable the pack, but everything I have built since then is fine. But with these new patch bugs, I don’t even want to open the game. BUT I will sit in for a James Turner lets play before work. Tho I won’t be buying any packs from EA any time soon. Especially with that eyesore of a cart icon still there.

I’m really excited to see this series isn’t over, thank you for making it as fun as it’s been and please show more with the crystals!!! Also be sure to put a fence around the crystal charger and a locked gate! Stuff is easily stolen off of them :(

OMG just hearing James explain all the things he needed to do to get this save to play really makes me thank my stars I didn't invest into Sims 4 coming after buying all the expansions for Sims 3. I really hope EA is able to address this and might just be time for a new one, if Paralives doesn't beat them to it. Just like City Skylines pretty much ended the conversation for the latest Sim City.

So glad the save isn't broken! But I'd definitely say it might be better to wrap up the series and start a gemology rags to riches? 👀

i was despairing the lack of search bar; glad to see you do have it! been a lifesaver for me! doing maintenance isnt the only way to raise the rating on your apartments; participating in events and i think being social with your tenants also helps i believe panya li is the default property owner for any rentals that dont already have an owner. so if you plop down a rental without also assigning a sim as the owner, he automatically becomes the owner. gleena was asking if she should know nina as a friend rofl could the rent you collect be based on what it was set to at the beginning of the rental period? so maybe the next week you play it will reflect the updated numbers? im glad to see you play this again!

The inspection and maintenance doesn't seem to affect the maintenance score much but doing some upgrades and always completing the events keeps it at amazing for all my buildings. Tenants will move out and start revolts all the time even if you have 5 stars and amazing maintenance, after playing a few generations I don't think having a lower quality apartment actually makes them more likely to happen... I always mail the book since the curse you get from destroying it gets glitched sometimes :/ I actually don't regret buying this pack but I wish a bit more thought had been put into events so they don't spawn on lots where you can't solve them... not to mention all the bugs

I really think what you should do for for rent, if it doesn't work: sell all the buildings you own and just buy the bigwallet emporium, because that would be interesting to see six apartments on. maybe laird can live there or in the house she's now living in or just in a normal rental. and then focus on the crystals. :)

If you need to farm for crystals, I also suggest joining the scientist career. When you travel to the lot there are a whole bunch of gems and metals that respawn really fast and you can ask your coworkers for them.

Not a fan of supernatural packs so I don't care about crystal creations at all, I just really wish Wish that For Rent was Not broken. I Loved the past episodes you made about Renting, buying houses, crafting furniture, dating, befriending rich people, stealing mom's stuff and selling food. That was really fun times😢

The rent is correct. You even received more. You get 2385 simoleons daily which is 16072. But with the daily 600 unit tax it comes down to 12502 simoleons -> 16072-(600×7)

Maybe grab the sign that came with the pack. The one that looks like a for sale sign You can use that to check your rentals Maybe that will show the new information they said they added

After getting for rent, my game is so buggy I stopped playing. I wish EA would address the games issues instead of launching new packs and in-game advertising. What a slap in the face

I watched EnglishSimmer's video and apparently there are new glitches regarding Emotion buffs disappearing if you save and come back. She tested it and didn't have any issues with pregnancy vanishing but be careful. Also putting on and taking off Jewelry can drastically change your Sim's appearance because it starts randomizing sliders for some reason. Just a heads up.
