Chaktujak is fun, but most of it is a lot of the same tourist souvenir stuff. There are some cool shops in the back with stuff for your home. Fun place to go eat, maybe listen to some music and people watch early in the evening.

I saw your first hotel gave you a big pack of bottle water in your kitchen. May be they forgot to tell you. Usually quarantine hotels give a lot of water to guest. Love your video.

This video brought a smile to my face. I LOVED my time in Bangkok...and Thailand. The humidity was killer though 🥵. Had to buy electrolytes. Bought quite a few things from 7-Eleven during my stay, too!

I don't think we have visited any city that feels quite as 'alive' as Bangkok. There's just a feeling in the air that is so full of activity and life. We read it is the hottest city in the world, if you go by average temperature! Definitely have been drinking a lot more water than usual 😂

If you go out of BKK, that coconut will be 20-25Thb. But tasty same as 45-50Thb. In BKK and street food 20-30thb. For countryside in BKK will be 40-70thb.👍😀

It is so nice to go outdoor shopping when it rains. I went there a couple of times 20+ years ago and it was hot, damn hot and super hot and crowds were like packed sardines. As a Thai native, I don't go there anymore for the last 2 decades.

That same area of Bangkok has some of the best parks, there are 3 of them right next to each other.

The one park we went to in that area was really beautiful. It didn't feel like we were in the middle of a huge city!

Chatuchak is dead for sure, it's not like that all under normal circumstances. When I was there last you could barely walk thru the stall alleys without having to dodge around groups of people, the three lane road next to it would only have about 1 lane free because of all the parked taxis, scooters, and sprawling foot traffic walking around the restaurants that took up the sidewalk.

Was the PCR hotel really $300 a night? In 2019, I stayed in Chiang Mai for $20 a night, right in the Old City. It was equivalent to a Motel 6 in the US.

The 1 night Test & Go quarantine package was $300 for two. All the regular hotels are much more affordable, like you describe.

The test and go package includes the cost of the tests plus meals, so not just the cost of accommodation.

It's pretty easy to find street food for less than $3 a plate! Sit-in restaurants are more like $6 a plate.
