We want to represent our city because we are so proud of it. Everything we have, we made ourselves. In music with the Beatles and other liverpool bands. Bringing mersey beat to the world. The football clubs. Especially, liverpool who are the most successful clubs English club. We also love our own people, and let’s not forget people who may not be from not liverpool, but they give us a chance and do not bring outdated, bullshit stereotypes. If you really respect us, we will really respect you. If you give us any of that normal bullshite, we will genuinely hate you forever. Also, we will let you know about it. Might say a bit cringe, but me and my family, people who sit around me at Anfield every other weekend, think the same as what I’ve just said. That doesn’t mean their isn’t people in liverpool who are still proud to be English… but I’m not one bit.

I'm from NYC and I've been a Liverpool fan since i was a kid... when I was old enough (and had the money) to travel over for games my love of the club went to another level. My grandparents are from Ireland and Scousers/Scouse hunour reminds me so much of Irish people and their humor. I really the love the people and the ideology that pervades the city... the more I visited the more I loved the club and the people (even Bluenoses) ... the politics and working class attitudes of the overwhelming majority of Scousers are the same ones I was raised on and identify with

Putting population at around 580k so maybe around 15% not 10% . There hasn't been any large scale English populations moving in since then. So while 10% is inaccurate it's close to the truth.

Liverpool's population peaked in the 1930s with 846,101 recorded in the 1931 census.
