Drag Week 2021 kicked off 2 back to back VERY hectic weeks. We started the week with a fresh car ready to take on the challenge though. If your remember from the last video, we ran our first 7 testing the week prior. Day 1 and Day 2 of Drag Week we also managed to turn in back to back 7 second slips, setting our week off to a good start. This is the first time dad and I have really raced together and he's been my co-pilot. We had a smooth routine down that allowed us to be ahead the first couple days, but random problems and Mother Nature had different plans, especially on day 2 when we were stuck on the side of the road for hours waiting on a serious down pour to pass. It all worked out, but check out how it went down. 😬

Was just talking today about how many of us were terrified of holding the flashlight for dad when he was working on cars :) the oil on the forehead was great...we should all be so positive and tolerant in stressful situations ;)

The car runs 7's. The driver is literally the Energizer Bunny. The lead mechanic and pit crew are second to none. What could possibly stop this beautiful behemoth of american muscle from eating up the drag week miles?........ RAIN. Haha. Appreciate the pure absurdity of that little bit of truth. Laugh it off. Maybe you should have installed a 57 cowel. Those don't have ribs to let the water in. On the down side, the air doesn't get into the floor vents eather then. So you will not have 2-60 air. The car sounds good!

I got caught in a downpour like that in a BMW Z4 at a youth rodeo. The problem was my son and I had just eaten BBQ and we were passing too much gas. I was passing the gas as quietly as possible. He wasn't hiding it!
