Yunho is pronounced like "u-know". when you see a korean name like yunho, minho, junho, etc, the "h" in the "ho" syllable is silent. it's not a big deal if you pronounce it slightly wrong though, it's a common error, but since you asked, i thought i would explain it for you guys. their popularity in japan is a big factor in what started the globalization of kpop in general. they were apart of the original "hallyu wave" or "korean wave" where korean entertainment started to get popular in other countries. korean entertainment first spread to japan, and then other southeast asian countries like taiwan, malaysia, etc. then with kpop mvs being added to youtube and kdramas being able to be streamed in other places, kentertaiment started gaining a western niche fanbase as well that grew over the years until it really exploded post gangnam style and then even more after bts's global success. tvxq's success in japan opened a lot of doors for korean artists, as it's the second largest music industry in the world, after the US, and making money their was very helpful in funding kpop artists careers more than only having domestic success.

If you are curious about them back when they were 5, Mirotic and Rising Sun album would be perfect I guess as those 2 albums really show their style. But seriously their Japanese discography also top-notch and unsurprisingly was as famous as their Korean one which is rare for a kpop group 🥰 Thank you for always supporting TVXQ and I hope you will dive into their solo album as well ☺️

TVXQ brought me to kpop in 2005 and when I say I had a phase of an embarrassing obsession for this group?? It was bad. I’ve since mellowed out, but I’m still so proud to have known a group as amazing as those 5 guys. They sang their butts off back in the day, man. Best harmonies out there. 👌🏽🫶🏽💗

just to let you know, the conflicts and lawsuit (some of the reasons why the three members left the group) are cited to being due to the contracts with the company and unfair wages. The whole case was quite sad (many questions are still unanswered to this day) as it led to the three members being blacklisted from the entertainment agencies for quite a while. But they gained a very large following in japan and funfact one of the members (kim jaejoong) is one of the richest kpop idols still despite the blacklisting (he also has his own interview show called jaefriends where hes had people like ateez, the boyz etc if you ever want to delve into content like that)

My grandma was a fan of them too! Their Japanese tours are something. Their old performances with 5 of them is a must watch too! Changmin is my bias. Also he has a child now!

The breakup was a tragedy, and due to SM’s greed… When you have five geese that are laying golden eggs, you should treat them well… Instead, they were overworked, underpaid, and mistreated.Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun formed JYJ and were successful for a while, even though SM blacklisted them and tried to make their success as difficult as possible, since they did not like losing the lawsuit… This also shined a light on how contracts were especially unfair during those days, and they’re now called slave contracts, and the laws were changed because of this lawsuit, and 13 year contracts are illegal now, and although not perfect, members are now treated better. My favorite singer is jaejoong, I love the vibrato of his voice, Although they are all amazing! The a cappella song they showed is called whatever they say, another beautiful a cappella song is always there… One of their best songs as a five is called tonight, I hope you react to it, I think it would knock your socks off! Jaejoong was the main vocal of TVXQ when they were still 5. Imagine?? Changmin and Yunho's voice are already at the top?! Then you will hear the main vocal? ugggg. I wish you can react to them as 5 because they have the best vocals in kpop. Jaejoong is so versatile that he can do both low and high notes that's why he is also the center of the group.
