omg I just discovered them in December with their comeback "Down" & "Rebel" and man that made me so upset for not knowing them way earlier because I have never seen a more all rounded and perfect group like them. what shocked me the most was knowing that U-KNOW (black leather jacket guy) is a rapper and basically had to step in a lot to fill in for vocals along with Changmin since they are a duo now, and with each song I kept checking my guy U-KNOW went through crazily insane development in terms of vocals so when you guys kept praising them and saying they are untouched that was FACTS. and YES!!! they complete and compliment each other SO WELL that I'm not surprised they were fated to stay and carry on making TVXQ the legendary name it is today. I definitely recommend reacting to their new album because it's a MASTERPIECE. for live performances, they are CRAZY! so far I haven't checked much but what I checked first live of them ever was their whole Japanese tour "Begin Again" (they are insanely popular in Japan btw) and I was both speechless and mind blown for DAYS!! to see them full on delivering everything while it was LITERALLY POURING HEAVY RAIN had me be sure they will never be touched. if you guys check live performances out then I'll definitely recommend some. their Japanese discography is amazing as well if you guys are interested to check it. Changmin does experience a lot with his voice and show his deeper tone a lot in his solo work so I'll say both of his mini albums are a must to check out, and U-KNOW has really good songs too but for starter I'll say check "Thank u" "Vuja De" and "Drop".

TVXQ was THE PERFECT group when they were 5 and they were an acapella-dance group. Changmin initially doesn't have much part in their songs when they were 5 member group since he mostly sing the high note while Yunho is a bass and rapper. Their development in skills since comeback as duo (2011) was INSANE. Yunho has always been a good singer even back then but now he is like a crazy good one!!

hi, thank you for reacting to tvxq! you’ve already been fans of max changmin for a while now so lemme tell you a little bit about the “leather jacket dude” as well. that’s yunho (aka u-know). he’s the leader, main dancer and a main rapper (also older than changmin). here’s a few things that you’ve already pointed out: • yes, he’s always ready to dance. he’s actually one of the og ‘dance machines’ of kpop. • u-know is well-known for being very loud (irl too lol) so that’s why you could probably noticed he steps away from the mic pretty often (how nia mentioned, it’s to prevent mic cracks). … he has a solo career as well and what’s great (only shows their versitality) he’s very different than changmin; his style is much more experimental and he really likes the short film format. i’d recommend to check: - u-know - thank you mv (short film format) - u-know - drop mv - u-know - follow mv - u-know - nexus | reality show (an introduction to his newest album in a short film form) - tvxq - city lights (u-know solo) feat. taeyong (i especially recommend the live version )

They're TOHOSHINKI in Japan, they released separate album there, even the fandom name is different too, Japan fandom is BIGEAST. U should check out their japanese released too. If u like "REBEL", their japanese song " EPITAPH" has the feeling like distant cousin to it. So they debuted as TVXQ! in 2003 and as TOHOSHINKI in 2005. They active as both and released different albums for both. U-KNOW YUNHO has a bigband song called "VUJA DE". While MAX CHANGMIN, u already familiar with his works. Oh my god thank yo guy for reacting to our gods!!! The guy in black jacket is U-Know Yunho, he is 38 yrs old now (Changmin is 36 yrs old), and he is the leader of TVXQ. Also he is one of the BEST dancers in K-Pop history. I am 100% agreed with you guys about their live performances! They are a huge deal in Japan. Unlike other Korean groups, they actually debuted as a J-Pop group in Japan and learned really hard to speak fluent Japanese. The quality of their Japanese concerts are INSANE! So I highly recommend "Begin Again" live tour in Nissan Stadium 2018! They danced and sang live under heavy rain for 3 whole hours! Please check out "Humanoids"、"Purple Line"、"Why (Keep Your Head Down)"、"Begin" in this particular live tour! By the way, Nissan Stadium can hold up to 75,000 people. They are the first non-Japanese group performed solo concert in it, and they are the only artist who performed in Nissan Stadium in 3 consecutive days. That is quite a record! I am so proud of my boys!

Their solo stuff are epic too.. My recommendation might be different from others.. I'm gonna recommend U-Know Yunho solo like "SPOTLIGHT" and "WANNABE", he also has 2 cinematic projects tittled "THANK YOU" and "NEXUS" There is this TVXQ live performance that remind me of Dream Theater, the tittle is "CRIMSON SAGA" and it is a Japanese song.. P.S : TVXQ also known as Tohoshinki a popular J-Pop group that debuted at 2005 in Japan..they are one of Artist with highest concert attendance since they are able to bring around 1 million people on a single tour..people prefer to watch them sing live, and Yunho and Changmin are widely known for their stamina and stability while singing live, their concert last for almost 4 hours, they will dance+run+jump while singing live..their live is that amazing..(esp Nissan Stadium) If you are curious, you can check their Tour Documentaries.. When they were 5, Yunho (black jacket) had so little solo lines in their songs... He worked hard on his singing in order to catch up to Changmin, and Changmin really worked on his dancing as well after JYJ left so that as a duo they wouldn't be unbalanced in any skills. It's crazy how they can hold a stage for hours just the two of them, their stage presence and stamina are 100% out of this world insane You'll see when you get into their full songs that the last one, Rebel, is actually quintessential TVXQ lol they are the pioneers of songs with crazy instrumentals and vocal lines For Nia, they have a duo unplugged version of The Way U Are from their 20th anniversary album that they performed on music shows as well 😊 such a good song Yunho is super super creative, everything around his solo works is often quite unique. During Noir era he released MVs for all the songs (in this order : Need You Right Now, Loco, La Rosa, Thank U [title track, age restricted due to violence], Eeny Meeny, Time Machine) and did a sort of theater show for the launch (it's hard to describe), for Reality Show he released the medley as a short movie called NEXUS that ended up being shown at an international movie festival in Japan, as well as a documentary following the team of dancers he worked with. I would recommend some of his Japanese solo songs as well, my favorites are Kimi ha saki e Iku (there a MV), Knife and Dilemma

Because you mentioned vocal control, and based on the songs you seemed to like the most, I highly recommend watching Big Mama's Killing Voice! They've been around since 2003 as a group and are all vocal coaches at various universities now! Their control and harmonies are absolutely amazing. One of the members, Lee Jiyoung, gave Changsub and Hyunsik of BTOB vocal lessons.

Have been their fan since 2004. Have seen them probably over 35 times (still 5 or after the break) at concerts, fanmeets etc over the years. They’re amazing live. Crazy stamina & voice control. Watch any of the live performance & you’ll see. Yunho is/was the main dancer, that’s why he can’t keep still 😂

The "Love in the Ice" song is the same as the 5 person one's, so Max and Uknow sang the other ex member part as well from then. In earlier there are 5 member, but they have some contract issues with SM.

Yes they had to cover the parts of the 3 members who left the group back in 2009. So those older songs that was released before 2011 were sung by 5 members. They did had to re-record some songs and sung it slightly different as compared to how it was done with 5 people. So now its harder for them to sing the older songs but its not impossible. Y'all could search for some ballads: Love in the Ice, Bolero, Tonight, Begin on youtube which was sung previously by 5 (And now by 2 of them) if you want to see the difference.

Parece estranho dizer agora, mas Uknow (jaqueta de couro) era originalmente o rapper do grupo, lmao, e era conhecido como seu cantor mais fraco. Isso mostra o quão incrível o grupo é e foi como vocalista. O resto do grupo (os que saíram) se promoveram como JYJ por um tempo, mas isso não durou muito, pois foram colocados na lista negra da TV. Eles não promoveram basicamente apenas lançaram músicas e foram direto para os shows. Dois deles (junsu e jaejoong) ainda estão na indústria musical, e apenas recentemente, ESTE ANO, começaram a voltar à TV. Este último esteve envolvido na Polêmica e hoje reside fora do país. Sounds odd to say now but Uknow (leather jacket) was originally the groups rapper lmao and was known as their weakest singer. Thats how amazing the group is and was as vocalist. The rest of the group (the ones that left) promoted as JYJ for awhile, but it didnt last long as they were blacklisted from TV. They didnt promote basically just release music and went straight to concerts. Two of them (junsu &jaejoong) are still in the music industry, they just recently THIS YEAR, started going back on tv. The last was involved in Controversy and now resides out of the country. Im really proud of TVXQ in general though, they have amazing japanese music!
