Some oil filled shocks and some stick on lead weights on the top of the servo and it would probably flex and grip pretty well.. not bad for what it is out of the box for sure

Robby, the HB is actually closer to 1/10th Scale than most Crawlers. 😳 Axial and Traxxas are 1/9th, Redcat Gen 8 is almost 1/8th! Only Tamiya and Kyoshos are a true 1/10th, which that appears to be. I'd try one! NEEDS a few mods, but what doesn't? The Phillips Head screws on the wheels are really the only substandard thing I see on it.

BTW, 15mph is actually fast for a Crawler! My Wraith only does 7! But she'll do that VERTICALLY!! 🤟

Thank you Carmine! Yes it’s definitely small if it is a 1/10. I put this next to even 1/10 monster trucks and it’s quite small next to them too. Maybe 1/11? if their is such a scale. It is a minor thing either way😜. It really impressed me with its out of the box ability even with its shortcomings! Grate review Robby. I have two HB Toys the ZP1001 and the ZP1004, Great little rig's. I have many upgrades on mine one's. And there are few good free mod's you can do to them straight out of the box.. That's Bang for your Buck..lol..Keep safe my friend.. Big Thumbs' up.👍👊🤛💯

I seen these models listed on Banggood a couple or so weeks ago, they look great for the price indeed, pretty decent and capable trail truck and easy to mod to make it even better! good look at this one Robby 👍

@@acche-rc👋🏻😃hi! I believe but am not 100% sure all the body covers are interchangeable. This is my first one. May perhaps need to purchase the correct body mount post as some of the other vehicle shells may not seat on the the style truck you have. Wish I could give you a more solid answer.✌🏻

Not that bad, soften up the suspension like you said and maybe put a slower crawler motor in it to slow it down.

Thanks Steve! Surprisingly this motor does have pretty good low speed modulation on steep climbs, but the lack of proper suspension wouldn’t help it sustain good traction. So bumping the throttle was necessary to get all 4wheels over the obstacles. Plus the my son who was driving was anxious to get back as we were getting eaten alive!🤣😆🦟🔫

Wow Robby this truck looks fantastic and just because it is inexpensive doesn't mean it isn't still good. I also love the late footage you captured with the awesome head and taillights. I wish I could get Katy to drive a car in my reviews long enough for me to be able to capture some awesome footage like that. Awesome review!

Thanks Ryan! Agreed bro, Trying to point out some of the great budget options out there! Your daughter may or may not come around to the hobby. Just keep spending time with her and she’ll always love you for it! My son have kinda grown out of the hobby too, but once in a while they enjoy coming along. The mosquitoes were terrible , so our time out there was shorter than we wanted!😩😆😂🦟🔫

Haha, I’m sorry about that Phil, and I totally appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, in order for me to adjust the music volume, I’d have to uninstall the whole video, go to my editing app where this video is now deleted for space reasons and I’d have to go back into edits turn down and re-upload. I don’t use KZfaq’s music app where I can control from youtube. I’m sorry about that. If you know where in the video it is that you can’t hear, I could tell you what I’m saying or maybe the closed caption feature will pick it up. I will pay more attention next time. Which one would you say is better, this one or the Remo hobby 10275?

This one has more grunt than the remo with its 550 motor.The remo is better over all but only after cutting 3 coils from each shock. Remo comes with more ground clearance, larger wheels, and oil filled shocks. Both come with really stiff springs! This truck has amazingly bright lights. Remo comes w/ no lights. Guess if your gonna make me pick one it would be the Remo by the slimmest of margins! They’re both awesome fun!

Well because this model has a 5 wire servo and a proprietary esc plug you will have to replace the esc, servo, receiver and controller. You can get all of these thing for right around $80 +/- . Hi 👋🏻 and thanks for the comment! I highly recommend these HBtoys ZP model trucks. If you buying for a child it’s fine the way it is . If you are are buying for an adult who plans on doing more serious trails I would recommend replacing the shocks with oil filled ones and doing the steering mod I show you you in this video. It great improves this Rc. As far as recommending a Remo hobby truck, it all depends on what you will be using for.How big do you want, what style of driving will you be doing? Remo hobby as a brand I’d very solid though. Hope this helps a bit! 👍🏻😃 got more questions? Don’t be shy!🙂

You would have fun with it too as it’s good for experienced operators too. Check this out and let me know what you think! Supposedly splash proof, but the servo is not. I went through a fairly deep puddle and knocked the servo out. Everything else was ok!

@@wmpes5023 hey 👋🏻 buddy. I may be able to in the next few weeks . I do already have a lineup of uploads to put on here . I will try to fit this in as well. I do think if you want this waterproof , is to get rid of the factory 5 wire Servo, and replace it with a watertight 3wire unit. Also change the 2 in one esc in the truck for a brushed independent water tight unit and a new receiver/ controller set. That would be the best way to make it waterproof. For~ $60 it can be done👍🏻

Toy grade... looks to have no drag brake, bouncy shocks with no travel .. save up for something better

I think your missing the point, this is hobby grade as all parts can be ordered and replaced like any other Hobby grade Rc. Toy grade Rc don’t have that option. It is entry level hobby grade though with the potential to make this a much more capable machine.the hobby has to start somewhere and this is a great place to start.
