Any mistake would likely lead to certain death. Whiteline is the scariest MTB lines I've ever done. Fewer people have ridden the Sedona Whiteline than have climbed Mount Everest. It's far from the most technical mountain bike trails in the world, but the consequences are very serious.

I used to hang glide and we had a rule that probably applies to any sport in which you could die: Never more than one new thing at a time. When you're comfortable with everything else, you can give your full focus to the new thing. So in my case, new glider, new harness, new site, new weather condition, etc. In your case this would include new site, new bike, strong winds, light rain, and maybe more. I enjoyed watching, but I think it was unwise.

Happy to see you all made it back safely. I have was at that location back in 2015 and pictures can never do it justice, its way over my skill set. I used to rock climb back in the day and you can never underestimate what exposure can do to your mind and nerves, it can really shake you up. Now that I am on the older side I always have have to run the question past myself when doing risky stuff, risk vs reward, on this one I would have to pass, its not worth dying for. Take care and be safe.

I am very, very happy you made it out alive ;) Also, I am genuinely surprised at the amount of risk vs reward negative nancy's in the comments. Yes it was windy but they made a plan and felt it out. If they had ridden it without looking at it, without discussing the risks THEN I feel the argument that they were irresponsible could be presented however, that was not the case. Keep in mind that these three guys have extensive experience on two wheels and that even though a move like this is out of their comfort zone that they are still in much more control then your regular joe-smoe. If a subscriber of this channel (or any badass outdoor channel) sees this and thinks that it is child's play and that anyone could do it then those same people have most likely participated in the Tide Pod challenge.

Right now I'm in Michigan freezing my ass off watching guys in Arizona riding mtn bikes ! Great vid man 🙏👍 I love mtn biking so much. I race motocross too but the past few years I've found myself spending more on mtn bikes than I have on any motocross stuff. Mtn biking is so addictive ! It keeps you in shape and is a whole lot more fun than looking at yourself in a mirror at a gym ! So cool. I recently purchased the Giant Fathom 1 with 27.5 " tubeless tires , dropper post, 1×11 drive with air forks and the wider / longer thru axles. It is a hard tail but I frikin love this bike.
