One other thing I can add is that if you do a brand deal be sure you are talking to the actual company and not a representative because the company may not even know about you. This is what happened to me with Soylent. also I got 4 emails from "Therapeutic Air®" was that the same one? I too marked it as spam. :)

I'm a teen and I love these channels , although makes sense as I want to go into a stem job when I'm older

I would totally watch MattGreySellsOut. Would also watch TomScottSellsOut if he can make an interesting video related to the thing. LinusTechTips have talked about having a channel they only do sponsored videos on as a thing, due to turning down so many sponsor and ad-spots.

If I got the equivalent of six month's wages in one fell swoop for a brand deal, I would grab onto it and not let go, squeezing it for all I could. "Selling out" beats poverty by quite a long shot. On the other hand, if I had a more than comfortable income already, and didn't need any more than that, I would be more judicious in my brand recommendations, and only keep to those which I actually enjoy and find good use for. And there are plenty of things I regularly use that I would do that for.

Do you have to worry about the British sponsorship regulation thingy with the Amazon affiliate links? Also, I get that it's unBritish, but you should actually do some sort of rate sheet so if for some reason someone does want to buy your integrity for enough money they can do so.

I don't know if a million people didn't already say this, but at 3:18, that's in Chinese. Mandarin is a spoken dialect of Chinese. The written language for all the dialects of Chinese is the same. Sidenote: My family's rabbit is named Biscuit. If we get another 2, we'll name them Bourbon and Custard. Or Matt and Tom.

I do enjoy these videos a great deal. Their laughter is so genuine and it brightens my day. I sound so hallmark I know, but they're cool dudes and I don't ever want them to stop making The Park Bench.

I am a 19 year old Yorkshire lass and this beats any "big" British channel comedy gold!

One thing I really appreciate about Tom (and Matt! but I'm mostly referring to the other channel) is his commitment to honesty regarding things like sponsorship deals. I forget which video it was, but I know there was when where he explicitly stated that a company had paid for his flight or something, but had no editorial control. Similarly, he's implied that if he got paid to promote something that he would make the fact it was paid for very obvious. Whether he "sells out" or not, that integrity is appreciated.
