Nylander was pissed that they were padding Mathew’s stats at the end of the season instead of prepping for the playoffs. Nylander was didn’t play three games and as soon as he came back Matthew’s went out. Both had mysterious ailments. This is my theory

@@brandan5732 Love 'em or hate 'em, the media is a necessary part of pro sports. They act as the conduit to relay information. Do some media markets play the role as shit disturbers? Absolutely, and it's toxic. But to say professional athletes don't owe the media access to information that many many fans are craving for is misguided. Agree to disagree but being candid when asked a basic question is something I feel pro athletes must accept as part of their job. This goes for coaches, front office, media relations reps, etc etc.

Who knows maybe he doesn't even fully understand what he was/is dealing with either. He could have given a better answer sure, and I'm no Matthews stan or anything like that, but its not like hes contracted to tel us everything. Hes contracted to show up to the conference and that is it

This past 10 years may have been the worst form of the Maple Laughs choking every season for 10 years with excuses. Hearing all of them speak you can hear the loser in all of them they always sound monotone they always say the corporate crap no emotion all greed all they care about is MONEY not winning the CUP 🏆 Tavares is one of the worst Captains he is basically Dion Phaneuf 2.0 all hype & all MONOTONE! Same goes for all the rest. The only 1 I see now showing some emotion is Nylander to me he speaks like he actually cares but all the rest are corporate monotone idiots!

Cause he doesn’t want to use it as an excuse. He has the puck about as much as anyone in the league yet draws very few penalties because he doesn’t embellish or whine. 🤷🏼♂️. I like that about him. Just my opinion.
