Our team of storm chasers and meteorologists managed to survive several days in the heart of the Buffalo Snowstorm! This was a challenging mission as over 6 feet of snow fell! Impassable roads, slippery conditions, and almost impossible travel made this one of the most intense storms I've ever chased.

I’m from Amherst Ny that you drove thru going to Niagara Falls, made me home sick! I’m in GA now!! Was watching your friend too when he went off the road! They wee so lucky they didn’t get hurt!! Thank you for what you do!!!! Will always watch!! You help people so much!

That really was an intense chase. I've never seen that much snow in my life. Glad you and Brandon made it through. Can't wait to see what we will chase next. ❤️

Love the timelapse of the snow. Where I used to live, we could see up to 100" of snow a yr due to lake effect. Thank you for reminding me why I'd rather deal with hurricanes than days long lake effect 😂

Just an FYI...the Town of Hamburg, NY (just south of Buffalo) received 77" of snow in 24 hours in this storm. That is 1" under the all-time record throughout the United States since snow fall records have been kept. Second only to Anchorage Alaska, that holds the 24-hour record of 78" in a 24-hour period. Overall, we received 81.2" of snow in two days in Hamburg. I'm not really sure how much snow Buffalo actually got but it was no record snow fall for them.....lol....because it was far less than what we got in Hamburg and the surrounding south towns.

Survived? You don't "survive" something by going out of your way to put yourself in the situation to begin with. *edit* yeah, so the First responders in the area said the number one problem they were having on the roads in the area were people out there sight-seeing and being out when they are not emergency personnel. This means don't go around clogging up the roads in order to profit from a natural disaster.

In more rural NY, o/s Syracuse we followed a huge DPW dumptruck that had a scary snowblower auger wheel(?) on the front. Easy 6' in height. Threw snow about 30' in the air. Followed it all the way to Labrador Mtn. 🎿
