Lester you should add rubber mats that snap together they kind of go together and where the water comes in it's a doorways because not just can she be hurt but so can the other babies and for that matter with you and your bum knee it would be better for you too

That hail storm was really something Lester. I am glad the ostrich didn’t get hurt slipping on the cement. It’s interesting how you separated the Longhorns. That made sense for me! Very interesting.

Hi Sir Longhorn Lester. That hailstorm was indeed scary. The ostriches have such little heads, I thought they would have put their head under their feathers, but they did not. The way Carl was laying on the ground was strange. Yes, animals do strange stuff, I am glad every one was ok. I can never get enough of seeing the birds dancing, so sweet. Wow! That was heavy hail storm! Those poor birds. I love their celebration after the rain was over! That was definitely a touchdown dance, “I did it! I did it, I survived those rocks coming from the sky!”. When the babies show off their wings the way they do, it so beautiful! It is for all of the big birds but especially for the babies! 💗💗💗 It scared me when, sorry, I don’t recall which girl fell in the shop, but that really did scare me! I’m glad she is okay! 😅 Jolene will be a bawlin’ baby come tomorrow morning! And she will be blaming it all on Lester! “Mama, Lester put me in the wrong field last night to keep me away from you! He’s being mean to me! Doesn’t he know I need my mama? There was no one there to protect me over there! And there are big snakes over there! I tried to talk to grandpa Tex but he just ignored me. If the ostriches normally have no issue going in their shelter, I would have to guess that the sound of hail on the tin roof scares the shit out of them. I've lived in a home with a tin roof while it was hailing and it sounds like the whole house is going to fall down on top of you

Carl looked so forlorn laying flat to the ground. I was really worried about him and the others too. I guess they're pretty resilient after all. Hard to believe Jolene is growing up so fast- Santoro too. Not too long ago each in turn was the star baby of the farm. Thankfully all the babies came out of the storm no worse for wear.

That looked like a pretty intense thunderstorm the Other day, at least the pastures can start greening up from the rain and the pond will have more water for the bigs if they want to have a drink. That storm never made it west of the 35 corridor. Stay safe Lester and Jami

Hi Jami and Lester 😊 The ostriches are beautiful beyond words when they dance with their wings out. Who would've thought that birds who look so ungainly and poorly proportioned with their tiny heads on such long necks and skinny legs supporting such a big body could be so gorgeous. 👌 their behavior sure dispelled what we always heard about burying their heads in the sand when threatened or scared. Wonder how that got started. Poor Wanda! She's brave enough to come inside and that had to happen. 😥 I hope she won't be afraid to seek shelter again. Rubber mats would be nice but we had some at work that snapped together and they were a nightmare to clean even with a prssure washer and a pain to snap back together when we picked them up so the water could drain. Just be choosy about the kind you get. So glad all the babies are okay. That was a horrific storm. I've been in hail but nothing like that ! Thanks for sharing. Hey dolls… You can buy spray on concrete fibers. I ended up having to put that on old concrete after they put in a pool in my backyard. It truly helps. It will save you your selfs as well

Our barn floor was like an ice rink when wet.

1987 here in Knoxville Tennessee we had softball size hail. I'll never forget that. It broke through the windshield in both vehicles with hundreds of dents in our car and truck. It broke most of the windows in my house. All cars were destroyed in this area. The house I lived in had a tin roof. I haven't been scared like that since. The hail you had there would still hurt bad if you were out in it. I'm so happy that the animals survived it. 💕💖

I did the same thing last year and broke my leg. I'm glad you all finally got some rain though. I know how much it was needed.
