We took our Yamaha Rmax with Schmidty racing spring kit to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes! What a blast hitting the dunes, sand for days, if your wondering how your Yamaha rmax handles on the sand, this video will show how they do! Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe!

Look forward to that spring time video u mentioned with outside shot of whoops. The stock springs are like riding in a radio flyer wagon. Just brutal. Ive been watchin you a bit sence ive been considering those schmidty springs.

Thank man I appreciate that!! I kick myself not getting a outside shot hitting test, the springs are absolute game changer!! I can’t put into words they are that amazing, dunes don’t open till April, and the other whoop section I have in mind is too dang cold to hit till march at least, but I am gonna make one!

Thanks! You can’t buy this I make it, basically had a buddy give me the flag with a mounting bracket for a dirt bike still attached to the flag, get ya a pretty stout piece of flat steel 1/4 “ and drill two 1/2 inch holes in it,thats pretty much it.

To fit 32 inch tires did you have to change control arms ?

Nope, you don’t even have change the springs, under full compression they will rub in the rear on front plastic wheel well very slightly but that’s it.

What’s your overall height with this setup? I’m worried about fitting in my garage. Thanks!!!

I’m not sure on the total height, but I know it won’t fit in 7’ door and probably really close with 7’6 door, tomorrow I’ll grab a measurement for ya

have you done any clutching with the 32s?

No clutching yet, still stock, most likely I’ll upgrade the clutching at the 1600 mile service, just cause it does so well with the 32s

Is the exhaust stock or do you have a tip on the muffler?

Stock muffler with hunter exhaust tip, it borderline to loud for long trail rides!

@@682supersport no tune, all stock, schmidty has changed the type of springs they use in their kits since I’ve bought mine, my springs are eibach springs and the we’re only two different options to choose from light or heavy and I went with heavy because mine was a 4 seat, now I think they are using swift springs and you got a bunch of info you gotta fill out similar to shock therapy now.

Have u had any axle issues related to the spring kit?

Nothing yet but i didn’t set the ride height per schmidty directions, axle angles were way to steep, so we adjusted it down to almost where stock ride height was.
