It does work if rub hard enough the original video was a marker pen. It works because of metal fatigue rubbing the line weakening the seal.

No! BAD! Don't make excuses for 5-minute fakes. Ann Rierdon has videos showing that the company literally has internal policies that the video result is all that matters. They come up with a "hack" idea, and send it to the producers, whose job is to produce a video of the hack working, no matter what it takes to get the take. 90% of the time, that means fake it.

i will say that i just tried it myself using ordinary printer paper and i can tell you that it does not work. not even a little bit. there is no way you could fold it to be hard enough to puncture a pressurized aluminium can

I dunno how Barry held it together, how it looked and Mrs. B laughing, genuinely was crying of laughter :')

Just mash with skins on.

It's simply breaking the thin seal on the lip, nothing about friction. You put enough pressure there it'll break open with anything hard enough

@@SGvagon aha, exactly, it's a hard corner.. Can do the same easier with the handle tip of a spoon.. Just gently press it n you're in faster than rubbing a piece of paper.. Butter knife too, ANYTHING works if it's hard enough

@@The-OG try it, that's why the pop top ring is there, it's a VERY thin seal of metal. You push and rub, you don't just gently rub aha that's gonna do bugger all, you rub because you're less likely to send your fingers into sharp sheer metal that way, honestly get a ring pop can and try it with: 1. A spoon handle 2. A folded peirce of paper pushed into it 3. A screwdriver for all or matters aha the friction won't do anything to it, hence why you shake a can/drop it n it won't break open

I saw another hack where you can score the potato in the middle then cook it and when you take it out if the water you can just pull away the skin without having to wait for it to cool like they had to with the rack hack.

Something about eating potatoes that have the hint of dirt still on the skin because you hand washed them instead of scrubbing them with a brush or something.. they just hit different, dare I say better? Yea better
