I follow a guy on TIkTok. The night before the storm he said they were expecting some heavy rain. The next day, he went to his Uncle Denny's house in Sulpher and half the roof was gone and the other half was picked up and turned sideways and set back down. Everything the older Uncle had left was ruined by the rain after the tornado. It was do sad. He lost nearly everything he had, even his clothes. The Mennonites came and was removing tree debris, the Red Cross came by with meals that the Baptist Churches had cooked, college and high school students came and went through his remaining belongings and saved what they could. Truly the best of America.

Prayers🙏 for y'all! My homestead of 20 yrs took a direct hit from a tornado during Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles, LA in August of 2020. We lost 99 percent of everything. It was an extremely challenging time, especially during the height of what was happening in 2020. We're still recovering as it's been a long process. We're now living in TN and starting over from scratch. We were homeless for a little while and had to re-home our animals as a result. My heart goes out to y'all and everyone in your town and community. The priceless gifts are God's amazing grace to carry us through and the ability to come together and help one another. Many continued prayers for all affected!🙏🙏

I find myself sobbing for people I’ve never met, a baby donkey who got swept away, lives changed in a just a few hours. Oh DeJay… I’m so sorry, I could feel your heartbreak. Poor thing just doesn't understand, or maybe she does and is so sad herself. I'm so glad you had your grandma with you, and she's safe along with your family. The devastation to your property from the flooding was awful but amazing! Mother Nature is truly something! Your pride in your doughter made me smile. For the rest, we might not smile, but our hearts are warmed by the community's support for each other. Maybe there was some material loss, but I believe that more was gained on other levels. Where we live in South Africa, tornados are rare, but we are losing on social levels, with hatred and distrust. What is the value of material belongings, if you don't have faith?

My heart goes out to everyone in Sulphur that was impacted. I lived in Wheeling WV near Wheeling Creek. Most of the time it was so low you could step on stones to cross it without your feet getting wet. There was a heavy rain that melted a lot of snow upstream in PA and it came downstream. The flooding Ohio River and the flooding creek met in our neighborhood. A bridge support had painted lines for every foot of water. It went from 1 foot to 25 feet overnight. That tiny creek had a hill on one side and it went up a gradual hill for 3 blocks. Our basement was half above ground. The water broke open the door and the water stopped just before the ceiling. Most homes were safe because they were brick but they were a mess. Most of our mulch went into the basement. It was replaced by river rocks.

Bummer. Sorry for your loss . . . been there myself. My homestead took a direct hit from an EF-3 twister about 12 years ago. It took the barn roof, turned a $40K travel trailer into $5K worth of scrap metal and "moved" my three bedroom house about 2 feet, completely destroying its livability . . . all in 8 seconds. I was inside the trailer when the wind broke two tie-down chains, lifted it, then slammed it down. Insurance covered most of the danage. I rebuilt out of concrete & steel AND I now have an underground shelter. Best wishes.

My heart goes out to you mom with the loss of her store. It looked like with all the helpers she was able to salvage some things. I hope you were able to get all your salvageable bison products before the electric company forced everyone to leave. I pray she had the right kind of insurance coverage to help make up for her losses. My heart aches for everyone whose lives were impacted - especially the family of the fatal casualty. 🙏

You made me smile, knowing that my fellow Oklahomans haven’t changed, and that neighbor still cares about neighbor there. It’s what I love about you all. In my 81 years, after being born and raised in Oklahoma, I have now lived in ten states, and been gone longer than I ever lived there. In 1955, a tornado ripped out a large part of my hometown, but I was not there until a few weeks later. People still talk about it today, though. I cried with Felicia, losing her baby. Maybe you will be lucky and still find it. I cry for all those good people whose lives were torn apart in this horrible storm. Tornados are merciless monsters. But I hope you know that those of us whose roots are shared with yours are feeling your pain today, too. We know you will persevere as you always do. Oklahomans are tough but tender; you can be hurt, but you always have room in your heart for others. Keep on keeping on, brothers and sisters.

First time back on KZfaq in months checking on my Farm Families. It is humbling indeed to see the devastation your family, friends, neighbors and community have experienced. Makes my concerns small, but nonetheless concerning. Sending healing vibes and positive energy to you and yours. Prayers to you and yours and everyone who reads and needs them. Lord, please keep Your children in these difficult times and situations. Help them to find their way back home safely and in time to heal. Father God, let them know You hold them near. To not lose faith, trust or heart. Though it looks grim now, You will shine Your light for all to see a better day. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen 🙏🙏🙏

Dearest Sulphur, OK families, you are not alone. We have you in our thoughts and prayers as you all deal with the heartbreak and loss of your homes, businesses, possible family members. Animals, struggling and damage. I donated to the Bank Fund yesterday and posted your video to my FB page so others will see your needs and help. We are all family, and we take care of each other. I wanted to cry as I saw the heartbreak in your faces. I hope that you had a wonderful 16th Birthday celebration with your beautiful daughter. Happy Birthday Emily, better times are coming. God Bless and be safe,

You may think you didn’t make someone smile but through your kindness and helping there are people grateful for you and all the others helping. A smile doesn’t need to be shown. From here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, I say thank you. I never experienced a F4 tornado here until 1987, the devastation and 27 lives lost but it was the community coming together that helped get those affected through the heartbreak.

So heartbreaking for the loss of your donkey, we were watching everything from Ninnekah. 27 tornados in such a short time had all of us terrified and praying. You’re showing what Oklahomans are all about, finding ways to help each other in the darkest of times.

Yes Daniel, you made many smile today. The donkeys, Charlie , the pups and the many people you helped out in your town. Mine sure De'jay and your kids are smiling. On top of all that you're a fine example of what a good man does for all in need. I watch Ryan Hall y'alls channel and I watch his weather team and storm chasers reporting all over and the tornadoes. I started praying for the safety of everyone. I continue to pray today. Bless you for having such a great heart. ❤

Oh Daniel. With tears streaming down my face you made me smile when you were standing at the creek and it's too high to cross. You looked at the camera and said "I can't just stand here." You headed across the neighbors pasture at a slow crawl - the fastest the Kato will go. I was still smiling. You were being a man, the way God intended a REAL man to be and at the same time, you were strong enough to let your feelings show. I'm 78 years old. I wish I had met someone like you when I was 20. I'm so sorry for the loss of the baby donkey but with the water as high as it was, it is a miracle you did not loose anymore. I have raised animals all my life and I know how it hurts to loose one. I pray that God's peace will wrap itself around Dee Jay. I have been and will continue to pray for all of you and everyone dealing with this horrible situation.
