Our dog, Memphis, recently had minor surgery and had to take some time off from hiking. What better time to to go on vacation to a lake side chalet! The Bluestone Chalet hosted us for a couple days of winter relaxation at their beautiful location.
Bluestone Chalet is a unique lakefront winter getaway 15 minutes from Ski Martock & Bent Ridge Winery, 1 hour from Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is all set for your relaxing getaway with a fire pit, movie projector, record player, games, kayaks & paddle board. This cottage was designed to be as cozy as possible to set the stage for an unforgettable getaway in all seasons.
Walk down to the lakefront, bbq on the deck, or head to nearby Bent Ridge Winery to take in the valley views for lunch. Enjoy a hot chocolate by the lake with the propane firepit in the winter. Enjoy the romantically lit gardens and fire pit at night, stream a movie on the projector, or play on of the many games or puzzles. Designed with comfort and coziness first, this inviting forest cabin is enjoyable in all seasons.
The main level bedroom, nicknamed "The Early Bird" has a queen size bed and is conveniently located by the kitchen and washroom. The large primary bedroom, "The Night Owl", located on the second floor doubles as a movie room featuring a projector with a Chromecast so you can enjoy all your favorite Netflix, Crave, and Prime movies and TV shows from bed! The third bedroom, located on the second floor, “The Nest”, has two single beds - each nestled below a window.
This peaceful wooded cabin has a deck with a BBQ and patio table, views of the lake, a whimsically lit pathway, and gardens leading to the fire pit, with lots of chairs to lounge in. Follow the steps leading into the forest and take the 200 ft winding path down to the lake to your private lakeside deck with Adirondack chairs and dock.
