We Tried 9 Levain Cookie Recipes | The Pancake Princess

In this bake off, I baked 8 different Levain dark chocolate peanut butter cookie recipes in one day and tasted them alongside the original Levain, shipped in from New York!
We found a clear winner that looked almost identical to the original, but flavor-wise, I had two different favorites. The full breakdown, including the data analysis, will be live on my blog shortly!

After actually viewing, I think the background music is too loud. I would also like the name of the recipe source on the corner of the screen as erika’s talking about them since for easy reference! Otherwise, awesome video and I hope to see more in the near future :)

Thank you Anna!! I love using Valrhona cocoa though I've also used and loved Cacao Barry's extra brute cocoa. For a budget/easy-to find-option, Hershey's Special Dark works and is what I used to test these recipes!

I have been trying different copycat levain cookies recipes from Korean youtubers for the past few days, this video definitely save me the trouble from doing all the trial and error when I try western KZfaqrs next :) This came at a perfect time with a great description of the cookies you baked! 2 quetions. 1) How do you feel about these cookies after they've cooled? The gooey shots when its straight from the oven are great but do they lose their appeal and flavor after that? 2) how long do you think these will last in a ziplock bag? Im making a carepackage to send in the mail and am on the hunt for some a cookie recipe that'll still hold up after the trip. Thoughts?

Hi! I feel these cookies are still good at room temp but of course at maximum deliciousness when warm. The great news is that they reheat beautifully (like better than normal thinner cookies imo)--it's pretty easy to get that gooey center back from the microwave. I think they'd last in an airtight ziplock bag for maybe 3-4 days? Again, I think they're great reheated so just make sure the recipient gets that memo!

You have a great review or the recipe but the background music is a little to loud sometimes I need to rewind so I could understand you. And I hope you will include to your video or in your direction below the brands of ingredients you use mostly the cocoa powder, peanut butter chips etc. But I love the video you are honest it's very informative. Nice video, very informative, which I appreciate, but, BUT, please either turn the volume of the music WAY down or even better, NO MUSIC! Those watching your type of video will be primarily interested in learning INFORMATION, they are not interested in being forced to hear YOUR choice of music.

Thanks for the comment, Bill. This was my first ever KZfaq video, so the production quality wasn't quite optimal as you can tell...but hopefully you'll find the music level acceptable in my other videos.
