Hey Ryan or Trent I’m a machinist out of Minnesota and I made my own axle lock kit looks like a cross between Jim and your guys. Basically axle washer with stand off and 2 tensioner blocks. But I’m wondering why the belt tensioners seem to move the wheel easier now. I torque the axle then go to snug up the tensioners and with a bit of force I can move the wheel even though axle is torqued. Is the stand off need material taken off it or do I torque higher then 65 ft pounds on axle. Service manual says not to go higher then 65 ft lbs. maybe that’s bs Bike is a 2003 superglide. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks and you guys are killing it love the content even the car shit. Keep up the good work.

These dudes won’t help you. They think they are too big now and the first to do anything. 🤣. The real reason your axle still moves is bc the axle blocks don’t make complete contact with your swing arm. So when you tighten the axle it’s only hitting a small portion of the axle block so that’s why it can still move when you go to snug them up. You need to buy axle blocks that fit perfectly in your swing arm with little room or make them yourself since your a machinist. I’ve honestly had the best luck with stock Harley axle blocks and just use different end caps. I’ve bought probably 5 sets from different “Instagram bike companies” they all suck. Perfect stranger designs probably makes the best set that actually works though.

@@viciouscycles88 thanks for the feed back. Also thanks for taking the time to throw out some ways to get this dialed. I figure it wasn’t getting the pinch it need. Axle washer and tensioner blocks made out of 1” billet aluminum. So those are not going anywhere. I’m using the stock Harley blocks in the swingarm. Probably just make them out of stainless. I enjoy hopping on cad drawing shit up sending it to cam then let the cnc do the dirty work. However most of the other parts I have designed for the 100 year anniversary were all made on manual machines and those are fun to. Anyone can go out and buy shit and bolt it on. I prefer to build it. And if I must redesign so be it.U can always take material off. Remaking is the tough part😆

Because you don’t ride a dirtbike to the track. If I drive to the lot I have to worry about having enough tired to get home. I have to worry about not hurting my bike or something breaking. Just makes it easier. That way you can bring all your stuff drinks all that shit.

No, not on this bike. Just a heavy clutch and the first generation elite. When the previous owner had the company and they were trash. We have a new one on the way the new next generation lever and new clutch and Mueller easy pull.

Hey, I know something you guys should come up with on a touring model like a dresser or something they’re lean. Angle sucks. Now before the rush bar, the floorboards would fold up. They were not bad after Rushmore floorboards. Don’t lean up you just getting into the floorboard bracket. So you lever your bike. I’m not talking about raising the bike and all that type of shit I’m talking about having some kind that has another flipper on it you know so it comes up out of the way. The mice were nice my street but I can pull it all the way up the floor used to wear out you can’t do that on Rushmore. Yeah I’ll ride comfortable bike because I’m an old hand model I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. you guys do cool stuff I like it everybody gotta do something just a thought. Why the fuck would Harley put those kind of brackets on how to do modifications pipes are in the way on the side looking police bikes they’re all wore out from parking lot practice.

I love to go to bike rallies where everybody dresses up and they are really fucking scary looking they got chains and stuff on. It’s just a fun time.
