I feel like the backrooms perfectly recreates the feeling I have when im dreaming, the familiar yet uncanny environments producing a sense of nostalgia and wonder at the same time. It especially felt that way in the office and pool levels.

32:12 about the party level, I remember saying in Icy's stream that they have no eyes, to which Icy or IGP said they did, whoops. The intention was that they rely more on sound than eyesight, just like how some creatures in real life rely on sound despite having eyes.

My guess is they are using Shure SM7B mics. They are wonderful dynamic mics that can handle high volumes such as screaming in terror lol. Plus a good audio interface will get you that clean quality.

@@WellPlayedJon Noted, thank you! I do voice-over work (used to do KZfaq too, wanna get back into streaming as well one day) so I'm scouting out for potential upgrades. I currently use the Stellar X2 and the Solid State Logic 2. They've held me down well for the couple years I've had it, so I don't need an upgrade IMMEDIATELY but I'm just being on the lookout.

This game is incredible, it’s the first back rooms game I’ve seen where almost everything is actually bases of the wiki. I am actually so happy about this, they even have the castle you need to go to, and a ton of the other ways to leave the rooms, including room RUN!. The only thing that could make it better would be massive public lobbies that can meet in the hub.

btw that infinite staircase level was level 9223372036854775807 or "the end" and the library was also "the end" but it is a fake out. That staircase goes on forever and there are many doors placed around it, most will take you to a glitched room that will rot your brain slowly, and some will take you to other backrooms levels. That white fog that you got around floor 90 in the staircase, makes you feel weightless so you dont use stamina. and as you fall down the middle, you gradually slow time down until you turn to dust
