“Dunces and Dragons” is definitely one of the most memorable episodes of the season for me. I actually remember checking it out when it premiered on tv for the first time and I enjoyed it too.

In medieval time when someone get executed u didn't have a choice u had to watch someone get executed that to teach ppl what happens when you obey the law or when you becoming a knight/soldier. Example in Game Of Thrones when Ned had to execute the guy in first episode, Brad had to watch it and can't look away. Its to teach the Brad the harsh world he living in.

This was the first special I remember getting excited for when I was a kid, I played the flash game and the BK toys, it was great.

It is funny how Squidward's ancestor is a court jester for the king, considering that Squidward himself is pretty critical of everyone and sometimes takes it too far. Historically speaking, the good court jesters were the most highly regarded by the king, giving them advice, providing entertainment, and even being one of the only few allowed to insult royalty. That said, Squidly is no doubt what would be considered one of the bad jesters.

Oh yeah season 3 and 4 were my favorites, but those were the episodes I saw the most plus the movie. I occasionally saw a sprinkle of episodes from earlier seasons, but nah I mostly saw 3-4. I probably saw some in five and maybbeee later ones, but not whole seasons again. Didnt realized 4 was really that liked though lul.

I think seasons 4 and 5 in particular is when they start adding more lore to the world of spongebob

The reason why so many people tried to convince you to drop the series after S3 is because they either cant remember properly or they are just repeating what some morons yell (jumping the bandwaggon). S4 is, at least the first 70% of the season, just as good as S1-S3 and it was incredibly liked by the viewers back when it was released. The first 12-13 episodes of S4 are top, the remaining ones are worse but still decent. It was S5 when it started to get downhill and then it pretty much got worse with every new season. Watch a couple of episodes of S7 or S8 and you know what I mean. Over the years, S4 was thrown in the same group as later seasons for some reason, probably because S1-S3 have the cult factor and S4 was the first season that already felt a bit different.
