Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated is a much more adult take on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon network franchise. Shaggy and Velma date, Fred grapples with his sexuality, Daphne gets friendzoned, scooby eats his scooby snacks, and there is an ongoing plot that we follow. Fun Fact: Matthew Lillard screamed in his car for several minutes to get his voice hoarse enough to play Shaggy. It caused more than one awkward moment. He later talked to Casey Kasem and learned that the shaggy voice is right in the range where the voice starts cracking. He did such a good job that he became the official voice of shaggy after Kasem retired in 2009.

This movie is EXTREMELY important for the Scooby-Doo franchise, because it gave us Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. He is now the character's official voice actor, and is, in my opinion, THE BEST voice actor and actor Shaggy has ever had.

Fun fact: this movie was originally going to be a pg 13 self parody of scooby doo; where shaggy would’ve been an actual stoner, and Velma would’ve been actually gay, but after realizing kids would want to see it more, Warner told the team to cut a lot of adult stuff out, giving us a demographically confused film.

During the Weirdmageddon arc, Wendy and Dipper drive through Bill's bubbles of madness and one of them briefly transforms the two into live-action versions of themselves. In that shot, Dipper and Wendy are just the VAs dressed as their characters.

I also believe he started disappearing because when they first introduced the character, he was a big hit and the production company took it overboard. No, She hulk is better. It's just unevenly spread because she's in a TV show. She Hulk is basically a Sit Com set in the MCU and should be treated no better and no worse. One of her most famous issues in the comics had her Jump Roping naked for multiple pages, and another famous bit had her get in trouble for Photo Copying her ass ( "how could you tell it was me?" "It was a colored copy machine.")

My mom still has this on her VHS. Really gives you the early 2000's feeling whenever me and my mom rewatch this classic masterpiece on that. A couple more neat facts: the actors who play Daphne and Fred (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.) are married in real life. Sarah also played the role of Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for years; so when Daphne says she knows Karate now it's from her side-hustle killing the undead 👍

For those that don't know the guy who plays Shaggy in this movie is Matthew Lillard and before the audition he screamed in his car so that he could get his voice to better match Shaggy's and as a matter of fact he did so well that he ended up voicing Shaggy in the cartoons and is still Shaggy's current voice actor

The actress for Velma in this movie is Linda Cardellini, who actually also voices Hot Dog Water in Mystery Inc. Not only that, but after Mathew Lillard makes his appearance as Shaggy in this movie, his continues the role for nearly every Shaggy role to come. But that didn't stop him from getting the role of William Afton in the upcoming FNAF movie

iirc the director of this movie has a deep personal grudge against scrappy doo and made him the villain of the movie as anti-scrappy propaganda to tarnish his name so bad that he'd never appear in any other scooby doo products in the future. and it completely worked

It's funny them saying about it being corny and some shit acting n all But Matthew has gone on to be THE 21st century voice of shaggy in animated content . . . prior to Velma ofcourse And The actress playing Velma in these movies is the voice for ya girl Hot Dog Water!
