Recipe for the best Russian blini (pancakes) from my aunt: 4 eggs, 1.5/2 cups of flour (+ add 5 spoons of flour for blinis, if you have), 1/2 tea spoons of salt, sugar (to your taste), 2 cups of milk, and add a bit of water to make a dense mass. Fry on a pan with a bit of oil from both sides.

What you show us is beautiful in a genuine, organic, healthy human sense and we in the West are losing, or are having taken from us, anything about our societies that could be described in such a way. Many of us here would give our right arm to know peace, tranquility, and to live the traditional society and land of our forefathers. My point? Do they feel that their government is looking after their needs? Are they able to worship as they see fit, and are they able to feed their children? Are their children able to enjoy a happy and peaceful childhood? That's all I care about.

@@anonosaurus4517 Russian here. Both points are valid. I hate the regime and the goverment, I protested, I was arrested, I was on trial like many people. BUT I love the country, I adore how big and different it is, and that's what Eli's video are about, so let's leave them without politics, it's for the best. And I believe that Russia will be free, and that's the point. Regime will fall, but the country will stand. Sometimes it''s hard to believe but I stand by it, even if we didn't have peaceful and prosperous times for a very long time, I was the first generation in ~150 years that briefly saw some good times, for about a decade.

C'mon, im also from Russia and love it, but this atrophied pseudo-patriotism harms us all, don't deny Bashkortostan its existence as something unique, Russia has always been multicultural and this is its main strength since it gives you a vast varierty of ciltural flexibility and boost in development from close contact with new ideas and views.

I visited Ufa back in January 2022 for the New Year Celebration and stayed with a Tatar Family who hosted me, it was such a wonderful experience and the Tatar people are so hospitable and friendly) The family who hosted me gifted me many jars of Honey from Bashkortostan and authentic handmade Valenki boots! It was such fond memories, this video made me smile and helped me relive them, love your content! looking forward to seeing more of Ufa! Greetings from America)

Hi Eli! If I had to give a name to this video it would be: "The mountain that awakens the soul and unites people". It may seem like a difficult place to experience, but it is only the impression of the unknown because once you know and understand it, that place becomes your home to which you become attached. The atmosphere that you live and breathe in your family is proof that there is unity and a sense of family in which everyone loves each other and helps each other. If one day I were to find myself in a family like yours, I would gladly have breakfast with Bliny, and not only that, I would gladly stay for lunch and dinner to taste the typical Russian dishes and I would stay to understand and enjoy the hospitality of the people who hosts me. I'm glad that your cousin who is like a sister for you and thanks to you, by exploring the mountains, he has rediscovered the vitality that could previously have been dormant. Great video, in the Canadian North the stone piles are "inukshuk" . . . so you didn't lay on the couch contemplating the future . . . well that neither good or bad, we all are different. Love your videos on Russia. Cheers.

12:24 Like the "underground-city-thing" and the "restricted area thing" too. I also know from "secret cities" but don't know if they are currently exist nowadays. The maps are often not exact on purpose since around WW2.
