We Went to Mardi Gras with Nora Vasconcellos

Skateboarding (probably) won’t make you rich, but it can definitely make you rich in experiences. Case in point: What other job would randomly fly you to Mardi Gras to party and interview Nora? When Adidas asked if we might be interested in the idea as a way to promote her new shoe colorway, we quickly agreed as neither Nora or ourselves had ever been to New Orleans and were curious to check out one of the biggest parties of the year. With additional help from Philly (New Orleans native & Owner of Humidity Skate Shop) as a host and tour guide, we headed down to ride the wave of parties, film an interview with Nora while she was injured, and learn from the locals.

love the way you guys humanize the skaters with your videos. Feels very authentic and strays away from other skate content where skaters come across as a character or action figure designed to appeal to a certain audience. Also special shoutout to whoever edited it, the vibe and pacing was fantastic

This is really something that needs to be a core subject when interviewing skaters instead of gaslighting the bullshit that got them there....let's ask skaters questions like "why didn't you just get a job instead?" What made you believe people should market you in the industry?

that's wild that Marisa never was turned pro because her footage now days is still standing the test of time. There's so many male pros that got turned pro effortlessly but I swear majority of female pro skaters had to fight like crazy just to get there.
