I feel like the story between Optimus and Megatron is a tragedy. Both used to be brothers united under a common goal but torn apart because of that same goal. One fighting for leadership and the other fighting to prevent the tyranny from said leadership. They both had a brotherly love for each other and in certain scenes in the movies and shows you can see in their eyes that they don't want to fight each other. At the end of it all they are just brothers broken apart

If you look closely to Megatron when he says we were brothers once.... you'll see Megatrons eyes are sad 😔

The best part of this scene is that there’s emotion in Megatron as he delivers the line. It’s subtle, but you can hear it. You can see it in his eyes. I’ve always loved the idea that Megatron has feelings too. Optimus isn’t the only one who wishes he could go back to the way things were. Hell, even in the new Earthspark series, when Megatron confronts Starscream before he leaves, Starscream tells him that “Nowhere is safe if it’s with *you* .” (Coldest line Starscream has ever delivered) and you can see the look of realization on Megatron’s face as he looks back and sees what a tyrant he was, especially toward Starscream, as Starscream was basically his punching bag; the place where he directed all said abuse and tyranny (when not using it against the Autobots).

He just wanted to see his planet home again😢

He doesn’t deserve to die

This makes optimus prime look like the villain

I'm watched all the transformers and i want to see Megatron and Optimus prime to be a real brothers😢😢😢

Megatron is better than Prime. He is the real hero, he just wanted to save his home. He lost too much to save Cybertron, he save Optimus ass from Sentinel, he still remember Optimus as a friend. Megatron is broken character, no pure evil like Quintessa or Starscream. He deserve for own movie.

It's sad to see brothers fight, one fights for destruction while the other fights to protect and freedom two sides of the same coin, one side wins while the other is defeated but in the end you can't save everyone you got to do what you gotta do no matter the cost

Optimus didn't even care he always saw Megatron as an evil leader when Megatron just wanted too go home restore his home and have peace with his Optimus but Optimus didn't even think about it.

DOTM final fight was probably so hard mentally for Optimus he had to fight his once brother and his mentor

Megatron could easily killed optimus in multiple scenes in transformers. As example in tlk where optimus becomes good again megs and Nitro Zeus could have killed him. Or in the first one he was just throwing him around at the end he hat multiple chanches and didnt kill him. In dotm he could have just reloaded and killed him but he didnt do it .Dont know why

Megaton has always been a fan favorite and will always be a fan favorite, the ending of this era of transformers is the end of many great cybertronians, megaton doesn’t realize how big of a difference he was in optimus’a life, but the fact that Optimus gave up on megatron was the hardest part of it all, may bayverse megatron rest in piece, you will always be loved

The original DOTM endings there was a truce between megatron and Prime however it was cut 🥲
