Showing the Full Flat Grind version of the Odenwolf Bushcraft Knife ($26). Definitely another good value from Odenwolf. Both the scandi grind and the full flat grind have their own strengths and weaknesses. The FFG was way better for quickly carving a stake or skewer for example. Great review and badass blade.... I'm looking to get this knife and the BPS Savage.... It's been difficult to find a budget full flat grind knife that has thin blade stock . Great find, sir.

The problem with the full flat grind was they left very little metal at the tip. With just a small lateral prying action the tip will break off. Not my ideal survival bush craft knife. Check out the Eafengrow EF131, now that is a tip. It is a beast of a knife.

I like the price of those fixed blade and it's good they offer the version blade edge grind for those who favor one over another, they all have there up points and down points but I like full ftat and scandi is cool to so I would probably get them all at that price point. ⚔️⏳⚔️

Full flat can be really sharp. The issue I find w/ them is that sometimes it can make for a delicate edge but not always.

Yeah, give me the full flat over the scandi. It just looks better and slices better. Both blades from this company are awesome.

Hi my friend. I happened to see these knives on Amazon. I was looking for something for my go bag to keep in my car. The thought was that, if my car got broken into and my pack was stolen I, wouldn’t have to go through the additional pain of losing a prized expensive knife. Welcome to suburbia. When I saw the price in the $20 range I, wasn’t expecting too much in quality especially because like you I like razor sharp cutlery. The description of the knife says razor sharp which also heightened my suspicions. When a knife says razor sharp for the $20 range it was hard for me to believe. I ordered one anyway thinking that, for the price and return ability there wasn’t much risk. When the knife arrived I was pleasantly surprised, I did run it very lightly over a ceramic rod and brought it to the sharpness that I wanted. I was so pleased that I ordered another one in green. Both of these knives were flat grind. I looked up these knives on KZfaq and was happy to see someone that I trust reviewing this brand. Now I know it’s not my imagination , because of your demo. I think I’ll go back to order some scandi grind versions of these knives. Thanks again. As always. The 893

Honestly I’m almost tempted to buy some of these just for the sheath dangler attachments lol Those things are hard to find aftermarket and can be expensive. And I have several smaller fixed blade knives that came set up for horizontal/scout carry or have crappy belt clips, and I’d love to be able to hang them from my belt by using these nylon strap attachments that come on these knives. For the price it’s a no-brainer…plus you get an entire knife to go with it! 😂 I have the original hollow ground harpoon model, I got the scandi one after your last video, and I’m thinking if nothing else I might as well go ahead and complete the set here and get at least one FFG.

I bought both the flat and the Scandi. Have 2 of the original hunter sabers. Good well done knives. Sheaths are good but could be better.

440c is a cheap steel but in good hands can make a great knife

Agreed. People sleep on 440C these days because of all the space age stuff, but it was de rigeur back in the day for a reason. In my opinion, it still holds up very well.

I have never been disappointed with the performance of a 440c knife where as nearly every modern cheapo stainless 8cr12345 knife I've owned has let me down.

I wouldn't bring a child into this S**T world for love or money. I never dreamed this country would turn into what it has become. Sad! 😱 Most parents are not parents anymore, they are spoiled children themselves & most don't have any business being parents. Hell, most can't take care of themselves much less children. Igrew up in a day & age where this kind of stuff rarely existed. Not the case anymore. No babies being made nowdays, people & children just transition. Sick! I would go with the Scandi, it's sharper. I use a 4 Directions Bushcraft firesteel (they sell them on their Amazon store).
