Hi Des! My son was delayed speech and they told me it was because I gave him everything thing he needed before he had to ask. So I had to start letting him ask for things before I did them. Don’t stress. He will talk your head off soon!

Speaking to your child when giving him something even if he doesn’t ask will not delay your child’s speech. That’s how they learn by modeling speech. Ex. You want food , say I want food or just one word. Say food. ❤

Right! My son didn’t speak til he was 4 & shocked us at the doctor when she referred him to a speach therapist & my son said “ may I just don’t want to talk “ I looked at the doctor and she looked at me crazy lollll sometimes they just don’t wanna talk lol

I understand what you're saying. My daughter has delayed speech. Basically give them choices and prompt them to choose rather than giving them what you already know they want. Ex: do you want juice or milk? Even if you know they always choose milk.

@@mariaparedes1117he’s way old enough to have noodles. My 1 year old eats noodles, and prefers them. What is dangerous is stuff like gnocchi, but that kid is hecka old. So gnocchi for my 1 year old is dangerous. Counter freaked me out though because my baby would try to crawl right off 😂😂

I had 3 out of 4 kids who had speech problems and delayed speech. They worked with speech therapist and by elementary school they were find. Theyve grown to be very smart and successful so dont be discouraged. Everything will be fine with koa.
