Rasoolallah ﷺ said: why do I find the ornaments of hellfire on you? The companion immediately took of his ring and asked: Ya Rasoolallah ﷺ , what should I where a ring of? The Beloved ﷺ replied: wear a ring of silver, less than one mishkaal. Can explain this then Its been graded hasan by darus salam by version of tirmidhi Also there atleast 3 other narrations similar which some weakness but still its more than one narration. Platinum is not halal for man obviously. Many mufti issued fatwa and consider it is haram. Some say it is like white Gold so haram. A few mullah say it is makrooh. The vast majority of Islamic scholar consider only silver is halal for man in a condition it should not exceed 3.9 to 4.5 gram.
