After shooting videos on Cantaloupe for the last 10 years got enough footage to do one from planting to harvest. You can see improvement in both video and audio quality over the years. Visit the Bayou Gardener at www.thebayougardener.com

To the family of Mr and Mrs Webcajun, I am so sorry for your loss. You lost your real life loved one, but your loved one had an impact on so many, with his youtube channel. I am in tears. God bless you all. And thank you, Webcajun, for helping some of us novice gardeners on our way. I was amazed that he actually answered my questions, when I would ask. Rest in peace. You will be missed.

Hi, Donald. I just subscribed to your channel, mhpgardener and imstillworkin. I have tried gardening the stupid way in the past. - put seeds and plants in the ground and hope for the best. This year, I tried to actually learn something about gardening. I still got some things wrong, but my garden has done better than ever, thanks to you and Bobby. imstillworkin has inspired me to try my hand at canning. I have a few cantaloupes, but it's way too soon to pick them. Your video tells me when they will be ready. Thank you for all the great videos.

There is nothing better than a ripped cantaloupe under the sun with that yellow color juicy, sweet and flavorful. Unfortunately, when we buy them at the store they're green so I have keep them at home for 3-4 days before eating them. That way they become at bit more juicier, softer to eat and sweeter.

Donald, I have a container garden with a few small beds in the courtyard of my apartments. Would really love to know what you're planting this coming Aug. - Oct., up until Spring. Since I don't have a hose (no outside faucets), my watering ability is limited. Probably going to grow a lot of greens, bok choy, chard, beets, carrots, lettuce. Saving one entire bed to try Candy, and another spicier onion. Any suggestions from you are most welcome! Much thanks!

Mr Donald, As your instructions for your pre-planting i should use triple 13 at a rate of 4.5lbs per 100 feet that i think you used before planting your seedlings, is that correct sir ? Concerning the water soluble fertilizer per 100 feet you said to use 20/20/20 at a rate of 1.5lbs, my concern is how much water to mix it with ? fertilizing twice a week with water-solulbe fertilizer is enough ?
@webcajun
@webcajun 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, 4.5 lbs. of triple 13 per 100 ft. of row is correct. When using water soluble fertilizer the amount of water used is not critical. Use enough to get even/complete coverage. Fertilizing twice a week is way too often, you’ll end up killing your plants and throwing you soil way out of balance……Donald

Cantaloupe's are great. But hard to grow here in West Tn. Same as Watermelons. Blame Coyotes eat the patch up here.
