Hi Dan. I've just discovered your online courses and I love your style and easy going humour. You make it easy to understand and an enjoyable experience. Plus, as a Kiwi myself, it's great to hear a NZ accent on a tutorial site! There is one question I hope you can resolve for me. My only experience of Webflow so far has been in buying a template and using it to create a website for one of my clients. In this template, the page hierarchy is: Body > Section > Container > Grid / Div / Heading / Text / Image etc. In your tutorial, you use: Body > Container > Section > etc. Does it make any difference if the Sections go into the Container or if the Containers go into the Sections? Or is it just a case of personal preference?

So helpful! I am a graphic designer by trade but those skills go out the window when faced with so many choices! Two rules I work by are never sit with a client while you are designing and two, don’t give me so many choices!

Great work sir. My advice for fellows as a developer can be just have a small course in best practices in web development which will make a great difference in these webflow website and you become different from the competitors. That will make you more competitive.

I'm just starting to work on my portfolio, and although I have been a Wix user for a couple of years, I have always wanted to learn Webflow! Thank you for creating this for free. I wanted to know what is the different between this 4 hour long video vs the one on Udemy? What more will I learn there that isn't taught here? Hey Daniel, as someone who had to learn WordPress for my job to build a Website for the Company I work for, would you recommend to learn Webflow as well? The only reason I consider learning it now is because of you. I learned Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects from you on skillshare and got a great job because of that. I'm a bit torn whether to learn Webflow or learn Dreamweaver. I'm currently using Squarespace but it's a bit limiting, and they want you to upgrade to be able to get advanced features. Webflow could solve that but is also a subscription. Would I be better off using a WYSISYG editor like Dreamweaver and then paying a smaller amount to host the website? I feel like I've answered my own question but, what do you think?

In 2:14:35 when you changed a margin on the Next Event Image, this change applied to the Hero Image as well. The button was pushed down.

Hi ! thanks a bunch for this one. I couldn't find information about arranging and aligning photos with the text. Like if put text in section and I add padding to make space on right size for an image, but I am unable to fit a photo there, Any advice ? :)

Just to comment this here again. at 40 mins when you talk about sections and containers, my belief it's that "generally" it's other way around. First a section and then container. See how they explain it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ga2XaMZ6z661mas.html&ab_channel=Webflow. Example of this: you want a background color to that part of the page. If the container is the parent element, the background color is cutting short in width, which we don't usually want. Thoughts? My way of working is always sections first, and as they are called sections, they give the entire page the main structure and architecture of elements.

Yes this is how I've learned it and how they teach for example here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ga2XaMZ6z661mas.html&ab_channel=Webflow Also wanted to ask for a clarify or just clarify, my thought is that if a section of a page has a background color but the parent element is a container, then the background colour would not be 100 % which is usually not what we want. So I see it as section and container inside of it.
