I made my own cathedral length veil, hand sewed millions (OK maybe not that many, but felt like it) tiny little pearl seed buttons, and trimmed with lace. It looked amazing, and probably saved a lot of money. But, I did have a lot of sewing experience. So yes, the thought of doing that without feels rather daunting 😂

If I had been the professional planner I would have taken the bride aside and told her that her friend the “event planner” was not needed. Asking him to attend the planning meetings was in very poor taste!

I agree with David Vallee i understand by working with another planner Sean is not a professional planner he suppose to listen to David he knows what he is doing battle of centerpieces is not good way i like David's centerpiece the candles are great idea to add some romance into it.

If this were not being televised I do not believe that any event planner would put up with us. It’s insulting from the get-go. I think they would turn down this business. You were hiring the planners expertise and to act like you don’t trust the planner from the beginning is just terrible.

Maybe the reason is the TV program pays him too. He is working on TV he probably is receiving a salary + the money (1000 dollars? X%? I don't know ) he receives from the couples.

@@josiesloan843 nah it's on how much work they do/how many hours they put in. I note a lot of the planning and also organising stuff was designated to herself or her family and friends, rather than David and his staff. Bringing in her friend as an "event planner" probably saved them on his bill.

I don’t believe anyone was angry. The bride and groom were very kind with each other. I really feel that the wedding organizer was priceless. He was a little snarky, but knew what he was doing.👌. We didn’t get to meet the grooms family 😢.

Can this couple get their own decor from a different place look for another venue. Their mothers should have been there with the bride to look at this boutique hotel the couple picked.

That location is not serious and most likely try to cheat wedding couples on a regular basis. Who doesn state a quote a couple of days before the wedding and who waits so close to the wedding without a written contract?

My least favorite wedding planner on this channel. He has such a nasty attitude. Why is he acting threatened that the bride's friend wants to help, I mean the wedding planner is still getting paid the same. I would never hire that guy, too much of an attitude

He was being silly. But he was also trying to gauge how difficult it was going to be. Having another event planner could make doing his job well a nightmare if the other guy had a very big ego and no experience

I was SO FURIOUS with my venue. I had bought fresh flowers for my decor. The venue wouldn't allow fresh rose petals on the floor. The staff was supposed to use my beautiful two toned pink rose petalswith the flower girls & decor accent filler, which contrasted the Tiffany blue wedding color. I've always hated blue roses. They instantly read as fake. It was a huge pet peeve to not have fake blue petals. Which is why I spent more money of real looking 2 toned pink petals. Imagine my horror when I was escorted down the isle. There was Tiffany blue petals vomited everywhere. It ruined all the ceremony pics. Come to find out. The venue gave my pink rose petals to the afternoon pink event, before my evening wedding. Some idiot replaced my expensive pink ones, with cheap looking Tiffany blue petals. Before you think it was just a few blue petals. My guest book table pics had so many. That it's hard to make out in the pics. What is what. The pics ended up looking so bad due to these blue rose petals. That I didn't frame a one from the ceremony. The venue never said sorry to us.

I would have been furious too!!That isn't a minor mistake that no one will notice. That changes the entire look and feel of what you wanted your venue to look like. They should have applogized, reimbursed the pink petals you bought that they STOLE from you and given you a discount on the venue. So sorry that happened !! I can't believe they didn't even apologize.

They really should have apologized and payed some money. You spend money on something (flowers) that wasn't used on your wedding because they commited a mistake. Also, they forced you to use a cheaper object (blue flowers) and they gave a more expensive object (your flowers) to other client (the client didn't payed for It).

What a flappy wedding planner so stress creating. Doesn’t even lock in the venue, 5 days before is ridiculous. Don’t CDs have plastic covers you just put the picture inside and close it, 100 guests… take about an hour. All those groomsmen sitting around playing games 🤷‍♀️ bridesmaid standing in the lobby, you stay with the bride, that’s what you’re there for.

The dress was more than likely picked out by the woman who works there based on what the bride stated she was looking for in a dress. It didn't appear that the dress consultant knew there was a budget until after she gave the bride the first dress to try on. I don't believe this was the case when it comes to the dress consultant on the show but there are despicable consultants out there who will purposely put brides in dresses that they know aren't affordable, hoping that the bride will pay more than intended to get her "dream dress". The more money they get a bride to spend means a higher commission check for themselves.

Title misleading. Nothing wrong with a cash bar. People who have special diets, or allergies often bring their own meals. I've also known a guest unable to RSVP do so. The last wedding I attended was zero alcohol, still had a fantastic time and had no worries about alcohol misuse issues. I think the year before I was at two that were cash bars, still a good party. The only exception was a groomsman who started drinking before the event. I bought my veil at a craft store and modified/decorated it to match my dress. Complete price $25 and an hour of time. It was worn by two others at their weddings. Nowadays there is a large secondary market for clothing and even centerpieces. The decor, dresses, and centerpieces are really nice.
