True there was a lovely homienes in this lady. But she gave them her version of what they asked for, very much in her style. She sounds like a better baker than designer. A good designer has a signature but is able to step up to the challenge while meeting the client's needs. ItS also how you grow as a designer. She is too limited as a designer to be able to do that.

Exactly, a warm silvery gray? As an artist and arts education I'm resigned to the fact that most people have limited visual accumen. It works in the favor the cake "designers" on this show. And lest you think I'm being snobby and rude, I hear this all the time from real estate people who have to use stylists because clients can't envision how an empty room will look with furniture in it. This cake had an apparel feel with a muted palette, pretty, but much more suited for an older women's wardrobe than a wedding cake. Even the pleated tiers and ribbons were stodgy and softened the crisp squareness that they requested. The pearl pins on the ribbon stood out and not in a good way. Admittedly, it's harder to express freshness in nature with autumn colors. She didn't include red or gold which could've served as accents to that very muted palette. The h Groom semed to be disappointed but was putting on a good face. Not, sure if the bride was really pleased. There was nothing to do about it so she may've decided to put on a happy face. Anyway it tasted good.

Bailey Goodall It was an ugly clumsy looking cake I guess the cake maker was going for the whimsical look whereas looking at the bride and the decorated room it was a more elegant affair. As a cake designer she should know never to stick pins into ribbon on cake. I'm pleased the say it tasted good.
