I've been trying to find someone in my area who really knows a "wedge" haircut, and altho they will say they can cut it, they really don't know how to do it.

Usually, when a stylist does this much cutting after the blow dry..it's to cover mistakes! I saw the mistake she made when she started cutting the sides and blending behind the ear. If she would have chosen the correct guide in the first place she wouldn't have to spend so much time chopping and thinning.

I'm not sure if you're a stylist but the technique she uses after the blow dry is texturizing. The client has a massive amount of hair & this technique gives it more movement & will make it easier for the client to style. Some stylists like to do structured cuts then break then up after based on the client hair patterns and density.

The sides are way to long for a true "wedge" and the back to short. I'm from the 60s and I know a real wedge when I see it. I just can't find anyone who knows are to do the "real" thing.
