However, we are interested not only in looking at how the characters exist in the plot of the series but also in how the actors of the series Wednesday exist in real life! Therefore, today the OSCA decided to invite you backstage on Wednesday to find out where with whom and how the cast lives!

The only complaint I have about Guzman's portrayal of Gomez is that the character had no charisma. Past incarnations of the character have been portrayed as confident, charismatic and fun loving. The kind of person you'd like to have as a friend. I didn't get any of that from this Gomez.

There is absolutely 0 chance that this show doesn’t get another season! Especially with the ending, which I have to say Wednesday was absolutely right, the suspense is killing me! Everyone killed it in their roles! Edit: for those wondering, nothing has been confirmed yet, but the producers have ideas for 3 or 4 seasons, the cliff hanger it left on pretty much guarantee that we'll get more seasons at some point, especially with how famous the show and Jenna Ortega have become, and on a side note, Netflix is scrambling for more hit shows, which is likely how this got the green light in the first place, so there's no world where it doesn't get renewed. Wednesday shall return.

Enid was an amazing character and Emma Myers played her so well. She added so much to the story and it was fun to have another goth femme duo in a show. Especially since the main werewolf in the show wasn't a tall dark dude, it was just Enid. It definitely spoke to me.

I feel like people don't realize that this is later in Wednesday's life. Which means her parents are going to age, and grow, shrink, change, lose and gain weight, etc. Going from the 1991 version of Gomez, he isn't always going to be this taller, slimmer, paler man. He is going to change in physical apperance.

I was super stoked when I first heard it was happening, and I definitely loved the first season! I feel like Zeta-Jones missed the mark for her portrayal of Morticia, but I really loved all the other characters, and the plot was a lot of fun. Ricci’s Thornhill really stood out, too. I just hope they’ll give us another season, and soon!

His character needed to refine his accent. He sounds out of place amongst everyone else. Anytime he spoke it knocked me out of the story because he sounds like a regular latino New Yorker, not a well to do Mexican or Spaniard aristocrat. That aside, I think everyone else was fantastic!

I believe Ortega played a excellent rendition of Wednesday and I do believe that Wednesday stayed in character greatly. My main complaint is the fact that Morticia felt quite a bit out of character and that could have been because of how many directors there were stirring the same pot, it could also be like the way the actress wanted to play her. Either or Morticia felt really out of character to me

She definitely lacked something. No diss on CZJ, but they went in the wrong direction for Morticia. Some of it was obviously the writers, and maybe the directorial issues contributed as well, but whatever went wrong there just really messed her up.

A lot of people were underwhelmed because he's not as charismatic as Gomez was described to be. I personally haven't seen as many people worried about his look (there are some, more than I've seen I'm sure). Just his lack of energy.

I have watched the Addams' from my childhood in the early sixties and this adaptation of Wednesday and the Addams family is in my opinion, right on point. All I can say is well done to the entier cast for staying true for the Addams name and for Jenna Ortega in her portrayal of of this iconic character. Again Well done and I feel this was perfect, now for season two.

@@brianbrenner4245 If you're talking about the lgbtq+ representation in about.. three scenes.. and the fact that Wednesday hasn't had a confirmed sexuality yet, why does it matter? The show's actually gained a lot of traction (especially from lgbtq+ viewers) because it's not centered around heteronormativity. A character is portrayed with having two moms and when Wednesday is asked who she's waiting for a gender isn't specified. I love that about the show, it makes it so much more real and a lot more fun to watch. It also gave me another reason to love Eugene. I will die for that child. Sexuality and relationships has never been a huge part of Wednesday's character and that's what I love about her. It's never really mattered.

@@BluAru I always find it really odd that the lgbtq+ community watch shows in which some characters may or may not be gay or whatever. The only thing I care about it thee storyline, a character's sexuality is rarely of any relevance unless they're doing a gay storyline and focusing on the prejudice they face...then I get why that may appeal. I never give a damn if a character is gay or straight, and I didn't even notice any kind of ambiguity for Wednesday because it wasn't the subject of any storyline so it's just irrelevant so I really don't get why something that's completely irrelevant to the show could have some traction.

This series had absolute GENIUS casting. Ortega as wednesday, she NAILED it and Zeta-Jones as Morticia, beautiful, sultry, and passionate. Guzman as Gomez, PERFECT, right out of the comics. Ordonez as Pugsly, He could have been Guzman's son, the physical appearance is so similar. Armisen as Fester, he was channeling Jackie Coogan with an uncanny fidelity, in a word, PERFECT, the writers should have given him more explosives though. Thing, well, honestly it's not easy for ANY actor to put their whole personality into one body part [you usually don't see that outside of a porno movie, but we won't get into that] In the original series, Ted Cassidy did double duty as BOTH Butler Lurch, AND Thing. I just finished watching the whole series, and having been into the Addams Family from the 60's series through EVERY incarnation, I am VERY impressed. Now I'm going to be haunting the net for ANY news on Season 2 [Wouldn't it be completely awesome if Burton got Helena Bonham Carter in to play the next headmistress of Nevermore?]

I started to watch the series by accident while browsing Netflix. There were something familiar about the looks of the girl. Suddenly I realized it is base on the Family Adams series (as many, I grew up with the series). Great acting, great atmosphere. I hope there will be a season 2,3,4.

Jenna never dated? G'damn that is refreshing to hear in a world where you're considered less as a single. I'm even more obsessed with her now. She deserves everything she hopes to achieve. Finding young people with an actual functioning head (an individuality) on their shoulders is seriously crazy refreshing.

I doubt her not being with anyone means she has a good head on her shoulders compared to others. It just means she's looking for something real and deep. Current society says that sleeping around and jumping from relationship to relationship is healthy when its not. Better to wait forever for the one than to be with a bunch of zeros that you'll never feel a deep connection with. Status means nothing, money means nothing. A deep, strong, meaningful connection is what matters. Sometimes love at first sight starts it, other times it takes friendship. Either way its better than what current society says.
