Is Honkai Star Rail worth the hype train?

Honkai Star Rail is the newest game created by Hoyoverse, the creators of Genshin Impact, so here's my review discussing the game and if it's worth all the hype you've all probably seen for it online!

Short answer? Yes it’s worth the hype. Long answer? Still yes but with more detail. I quit Genshin because I just couldn’t deal with the lackluster QOL updates and how tiring the game has been overall without feeling rewarded, and this is coming from a person who has a C3 Zhongli and wanted to C6 him because he’s my favorite character. As soon as I lost the 50/50 in Neuvillette’s banner to Diluc, I just couldn’t play the game anymore. Sounds silly? Yeah but I was also dealing with major burnout from the game. I’m sure Fontaine is great but I find exploring to be so tiring and feeling like I haven’t made progress unless I watch a guide to search for all of the chests and other hidden stuff. HSR however, I feel valued as a player and Hoyo always goes above and beyond with each update. Their QOL updates get better every patch and what Genshin doesn’t do is when you lose the 75/25 on the light cone banner, you’re guaranteed to get the focus light cone like the character banners. And when you compare the anniversary rewards to Genshin, it’s clear that Genshin is just not as caring (given that there’s a different director for both GI and HSR). HSR is just a better game overall and will definitely continue to be so for a while.

To be honest I got it after so much advertising and the fact that I’m sucker for space themed things (Hence my mascot and the current channel aesthetic) Then the game proceeded to drain my storage and I just said “nope” and ended up uninstalling it

Honkai: Star Rail is actually another universe to Honkai Impact 3rd since the Welt from Honkai 3rd made his way to Honkai Star Rail (yes this is actually confirmed) Some of the other actors from Genshin are also in star rail such as EN Cyno > EN Jing Yuan JP Ganyu > JP Sparkle EN Dehya > EN Yanqing And more

Ah yeah, that much I read from the wiki and noticed in his splash art! Recently, I think Acheron is also Raiden Mei in a world where her planet was destroyed? I don't know the HI3 story at all really so I really have to rely on others for the story there. Lol

@@WeebaLu she's kinda like another Raiden. I haven't read much into Acheron's lore and I'm just now starting the 2.1 Trailblazer quest and I'm also not into the Honkai 3rd lore either 🫠. It's funny cause we have a Raiden that can kitchen, can't kitchen, and where is the kitchen 😂😅 (A joke about Mei, Ei/Shogun, and Acheron)
