Holla Marie El Aventurero 🌅 😎 Let's banish the winter blues , what a glorious week , it's exciting seeing you discoving more about this vibrant & beautiful city. It's gives you a better appreciation for everything when your up on high & can clearly point out all the interesting spots , 🏰 forts with so much history are compelling. The pretty 🐦 liked to play. , coming across 🐈 was adorable .Yeah it's disappointing not making it to the park & seeing Gaudi's Art 🦎 but on the bright side it's something to look forward to if you come back. It's nice easy feeling to wash your worries away walking along beach. They've got so many great museums ff , you could immense yourself in there for hours. Natural history so fascinating , the sheer diversity of life throughout the ages is incredible , can you believe that there was a 🐻 so massive. I found out there was also a dirt bear named Agriarctos that lived there, the ancestor of modern Pandas. I like how the outside area's prehistoric looking , the aquarium was splendid with its Catfish & little Nemo , hope your cute 🐢 doing okay. The space scope was cool , those kind of displays are getting better all the time , what about that enormous floating moon from Luke Jerram last year along with a string quartet. The dinosaur 🦖 fossils were amazing , your so lucky getting to walk underneath Patagotitan , i was trying to imagine how he/she would look for real. They discovered a new Spinosaurs in 2023 named champion after the football club Villarreal & they unearthed a duck billed Arenysaures in Aragon ? Pyrenees , all the townsfolk got involved & made a little museum for it , check out thought Co online. They've got a lot great exhibits , how about the big lion. Glad you enjoyed the local crusine, you do have to keep your energy up , it looked so yummy 😋 . The Mirador torre looked bit like the gekin in London , the Soundscape was unique along with the exhibits, I don't know how they'll reduce all the light pollution. It's something special having 360 views of the city, I'm guessing you can zoom 👀 into. Just when I thought it was over with mins to go , you surprise us with a golden royal galley from the battle of Lepanto , the craftsmanship never fails to amaze me , it's kinda odd but beautiful having framed paintings on the port starboard , to think it took 236 seamen to row the oars . Barcelona did dominate the Mediterranean for a while during the middle ages. You can see the whole process is replicated at the shipyard. Well done for walking all that way , your such to remain trim . Staying at a hostel was a good idea for meeting a cross section of people , must have felt like being a student again , hopefully your be able to practice some more meeting any Spaniards on your travels. I happy you had a wonderful time , wherever your going now do be careful Sundays are made for messing around in boats somewhere warm & playing with 🐶 , may the Angels protect & guide your way. Take care 😇💖✌️ I'll send another Paypal real soon 🗺️

I'm amaaazed at the distance you had walked when you pointed out how far away the hostel was from where you were hiking. You must have legs of steel! I also loved the big old thick trees that you pointed out. I can't imagine how old those trees must be to have such massive roots and trunks!

Lots of walking. Great vistas. Empanadas y tapas es typico. The museums were really well done. There seem to be parakeets everywhere. Great work, Marie. Thanks for all the 'footage.' The Sagrada Familias is an interesting building and unique story. It certainly takes a place of prominence in the cityscape. Winter, I take it, is a dry season. The aquarium was fascinating and juxtaposed with Dinosaur skeletons . . .interesting.

Your Spanish accent is incredible! Montjüic is Catalán and is pronounced with j like jeuidi. The u and the i are pronounced separately like puis. The c on the end is like a k.

Bonjour Marie! Wow! Lots of walking! But, I get it. When I was in Cleveland, Ohio, I walked all over because many of the places I wanted to go to and things I wanted to see were close enough that walking just made sense. The "Downtown" area of Detroit, Michigan (near where I live) is similar in that there is a LOT to do and see while walking around. But, I think the place I've been where I did about as much walking as you did (at least, if not more) was in Hawai'i. Honolulu and Waikiki are adjacent to each other and I walked all over both areas (and got my first tattoo there as well!) Sometimes, it's the best way to get around an also to see the area. Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed

I bet you were exhausted from all that walking. But I would say it was totally worth it in the end! I am also jealous of the nice weather you got to enjoy. Here, in the time I am writing this, it is -13 degrees Celsius outside! 🥶 And I commend you for being able to stay in that hostel in the same room as other people. Personally, it would have drove me nuts. I love my privacy. Salud! 🍻 🇪🇸 🌎 ✈️ 🌞

Actually there is a massive debate over the size of dinosaurs. Most people actually believe either the Argentinosaurs or Titanosaur were the biggest dinosaurs of their respective times. Unfortunately they were classed as long neck dinosaurs but kept those necks down for blood circulation reasons as their hearts were not as efficient.

Marie, it's awesome that you've gotten to see many of the places around Barcelona. It really sucks that you weren't able to get in to see Park Güell. Seeing the wild arches and colors of that place was incredible. Inside that huge cathedral is also amazing. The stained glass on a sunny day is so bright it hurts the eyes, but in a good way. Still, you have managed to see a lot and I applaud your choosing to see and experience museums! What did you think of the dinosaurs? You showed us, but didn't give your thoughts on them. Standing there amongst them puts the film Jurassic Park in a whole new light doesn't it?!? When I went to Barcelona I had my fiancé with me so we stayed in a cheap hotel. I've stayed in many hostels though. If you haven't heard of the book "Europe On A Shoestring" you really ought to scope it out. It'll show you the cheapest ways of getting around and all the free stuff to do wherever you go. I used that book a LOT while I was living in Europe. Thank you for taking the time to share your trip to Barcelona with us, and the long hike you managed to complete without your feet hurting too bad the next day! Hope you're having a great day and Keep Smiling!

I only got to go to Barcelona for a couple of days back in 2017. Didn't have the chance to see Mont Juic... and we couldn't get into Parc Guell either :( But it was a cool place and I'd love to go back!

Certainly Barcelona is a an interesting city. I recommend the 1967 British comedy The Bobo. It stars Peter Sellers and his then wife Britt Ekland. His funny deception and her ultimate realization are played out all over Barcelona. Muchas gracias! 🇫🇷🇪🇸🇺🇸🌄🚶‍♀️🦕
