Wow.. so do you all do a lot of clinicals at the nursing home? Or how does that work? Because even when I was a sophomore I was on the pulmonary unit and progressive cardiac unit

@@MR-zq5gt sorry for the late response but we just finished final exams!! We had 5 clinical days at extended care then we wrote POC on our patient. We also had 3 days of community clinicals at elementary schools(aftercare programs). My college had day and night RN programs. I'm in the night nursing which is 1 semester longer than days but works great with my work schedule. What yr are you in?

Once she’s taken The NCLEX all she has to do is finish the rest of her classes for BSN and that’s it they wouldn’t make her take it again because it’s the same exam as the bachelors she has all the knowledge she would need to know for the test already.

As a senior in nursing school, I highly suggest you find a way to shadow at a hospital. A lot of people don’t realize exactly what nursing is and then get into the thick of clinicals in nursing school and realize that it’s not for them. It’s better to go into it with some idea what it’s like so you don’t waste time and money. Also- really evaluate why you want to go into nursing. If your hearts not in it and you’re going solely for the job security you will be miserable and your patients too. This is not an easy job- it has a high burn out rate and is physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting. But if your hearts in the right place then that won’t matter. Take A&P in highscool, if you can do dual enrollment and the schools you want to to go to accept dual enrollment do that. That will 1. Even if the school doesn’t accept A&P transfer credits you will already be familiar with the material which will make it easier in college 2. If they do accept it, one less class to take - win/win.

Breanna Nichole I was wondering the same thing! So many people say that nursing school is a million times harder than they thought it would be and it scares me so much

I have a BS in Biology and now I'm in an accelerated BSN program and the difficult level is about the same. Idk how helpful that information is. What's funny is that the hard stuff isn't what you expect it to be.

I'm in my first semester & it is actually a little easier than I expected but I guess it just depends on the school!

It is def still hard but it is doable!! I was so scared from what I heard on social media before I started lol :)

It depends on how your are with science and how your program works. If you are a science person, then it should be no big deal. If not as much, look into splitting it over two semesters or trying it in an intensive. At our school, most kids took pathphysiology, A&P I, and chemistry in the same semester and microbiology and A&P II second semester before applying to our nursing school and most did just fine. I mean it was hard but it’s doable for sure

Isabella Vargas the classes you’re required to do before you can apply for a nursing program. For example, I had to do English, biology, pharmacology, etc.

And just bc someone is in and ADN program doesn’t automatically mean they are not getting their BSN keep that in mind before you try to act superior bc you’re in a BSN program

You mentioned in your video that you did not know that ADNs and BSNs both take the NCLEX, so I was providing information as to how the two are different to educate people.

Don’t panic. And don’t feel like you need to go to graduate school if you don’t truly want to.

You have to work at least 5 years in most cases before being allowed to get your DNP so don’t worry
