The dance is how you end the 1st week. And whenever you start the 2nd week of Garth start it with the river.
@iamangee3 жыл бұрын
It wouldn’t be a Garth week without a The Dance. Garth was a cross over artist. He was played on Pop stations and had massive appeal with people like myself who weren’t particularly partial to country music. I saw him on his last tour and he’s absolutely amazing live. He has no set list and takes crowd requests. All tickets were only like $25 whether front row or nose bleeds. His tour broke attendance records all over. He played something like 15 sold out arena shows in a row just in Minneapolis. He is one of the biggest selling artists of all time, and that is which a retirement for a decade or more to raise his kids. He had worldwide success similar to Eminem, as country music was not a popular genre outside of the US and he sort of opened the door to the genre to millions of people.

There are millions of singers in the world, but very few of them are true PERFORMERS... and Garth is possibly the greatest of them!
@denisebyrnes652612 күн бұрын
Late to this, but the word….MAGIC! Have seen him twice in concert in Chicago and all I can say is magic. My daughter got tickets for her 16th birthday and was one of his first concerts back after taking a break, as we left I asked her “What did you think” and she said “Nothing will ever top this”. The way the crowd sings with him, but it isn’t loud or off beat, it sounds like a beautiful choir singing with him. She saw Taylor Swift and One Direction and at 16 still said nothing would top that experience with Garth. So if you have the chance to see him, definitely do it!

People have asked me who my favorite country singer is between George Strait and Garth Brooks. My response is, “George is like a father figure. He’s a rock, doesn’t change, reliable and you always go back to your father. Garth is like that favorite uncle you can’t wait to go party with!” Both are so amazing. They both have great love songs, gospel songs, sad songs, etc.

One word for Garth? Phenomenal. He changed the game. Hoping to finish out the week tomorrow with The Dance. But you could do weeks upon weeks of Garth (and George Strait also) and never run into a bad song. For Garth, there's Unanswered Prayers, That Summer, We Shall be Free, The River, Rodeo, Callin' Baton Rouge, In Another's Eyes (with Trisha Yearwood, before she was his wife), The Beaches of Cheyenne, What She's Doing Now, and Much Too Young, just to name a few. :)

Humble. True story. My son is a chef and was doing a $10,000 a plate dinner and private acoustic concert for Habitat for Humanity in Knoxville, TN a couple of years ago. Garth got there a few hours early (it was at a private mansion). Garth went around and talked to all of the servers, bartenders etc. before the fancy people got there. He sat down with my son and they talked about their kids. My son asked if he wanted something to eat because it was hours before the dinner. Told him he would fix him anything he wanted. Garth's reply, a sandwich from Subway!

Consummate Been a Garth fan since 2 years old. If you’re interested for future videos: “Rodeo” probably best conveys Garth’s style in a song, “Kicking and Screaming” live is a good showing of his versatility, “That Summer” is a story telling masterpiece and example of how impeccable his voice is live, and “We Shall Be Free” could solve all the world’s problems.
