Actually Korn have found Limp Bizkit, it was in their native small town, they met in tatoo saloon, where Fred Durst was a tatoo artist, if i remember correctly, Fred gave a cassette with demos to Johnathan from Korn, he liked demos and decided to help Limp Bizkit with promotions and basically was protegeing their band.

They are from Jacksonville, Florida. Fred was a Tattoo artist who befriended Korn while tatting them and gave them his demo. That's how they got their start.

Limp Bizkit is from Jacksonville, Florida. Fred Durst parents used to live in the same neighborhood as me. Early 90's they practiced often there before they released their first album.

The reason you see Snoop, Dre, and Em in here is because they were all part of the same record label. Snoop and Dre were on Death Row Records, and Interscope bought the rights to Death Row. And Limp Bizkit was under another label name that was owned by Interscope.

Fred (singer), Sam(Bass) and John (Drums) are from Jacksonville Florida. DJ Lethal is from Riga, Latvia. And Wes, the guitarist and guy that always dresses up is from Richmond, Virginia. Surprisingly none of them are from LA

Jacksonville Florida actually, most of the members except DJ Lethal have their roots there, he's Latvian despite being the DJ for House of Pain which was LA based despite the Irish-American angle of their music

Pauly Shore, the offending air humper, was something of a 90's icon. He had a sort of California stoner surfer persona and appeared in a number of really, really shitty movies. He is also a stand up comic, after a fashion.

yo they are from freakville aka jacksonville florida. in my generation they reference matthews bridge which is in jacksonville. plus fred went to terry parker high school in Arlington, a neighborhood in jacksonville. wes, the guitarist, lived about a half hour hour bicycle ride from where i lived

If you dig the metal and rap mixture, please please check out Hyro the Hero. We Believe is a great start and will hopefully bring him into the mainstream since David Draiman (lead singer of Disturbed) is featured on it. Never Back Down (his attack on mumble rap) is a must listen as well. If you check it out and like it, I can give you 4 or 5 others that deserve some recognition.
