I spent a weekend in the beautiful city of Alexandria, Virginia. Specifically Old Town Alexandria. Alexandria is located about 10 minutes outside of Washington DC on the waterfront. There is so much rich history in. Alexandria.
However this trip was centered around me resting and relaxing. I was about to explore some new restaurants in Alexandria. It was my first time trying Sister Thai a popular Thai restaurant, Lavender Moon Cupcake which was highly suggested on Tiktok and Mae's Market and Cafe with really good food and coffee.
Who knew Alexandria had a black owned winery. Thanks to Instagram I was introduced to Negus Winery. Negus Winery is an Ethiopian winery serving honey wine. You are able to have a wine tasting with no reservations needed. Honey wine is not as sweet as I thought it would be. It tastes very similar to a Pinot Grigio.
I love staying in Old Town Alexandria. It's a peaceful, quaint, quiet city.
