Hi.. I will be visiting kodai from mumbai with a layover in Chennai for about 10hrs. Do u have any idea while entering details for e pass which flight no. Seats destination needs to be added as we have 2 flight nos and seats ie. From mumbai to Chennai and chennai to madurai. Please confirm on urgent basis..thanks

You have to add the last flight- so Chennault to Madurai . This is my interpretation. But please call up the helpline number given in the website. They will guide you better

brezhnev ambalavanan when we went, the pass was for a vehicle, and I had added passengers in it. The vehicle was checked and we were allowed inside. So I am not sure about the police checking extra people .

@@EmanEman-nb9rb I am mid budget traveller 😊 so I have no idea about 5 star accommodation. I stayed at the kodai resort when I was there - I got a great price deal as I went just after lockdown opened. The place is good, rooms are very spacious, good views and good breakfast

shailesh ranka I cannot comment on that as majority of them were closed. I booked through booking.com. I personally find that the places and reviews shown there give a good idea about what you will get.

Superb video. Thx! Just want to know where u stayed, a hotel or secluded home stay with kitchen to self cook? Also how did u ensure safety around food especially eating out while in Kodaikanal and also on the way. I am planning to go, but slightly concerned about food and stay. I stayed in a hotel. Stay and eating out is definitely a risk. Some ways to feel safe would be to take your own bed sheets and plates, etc. If you can get a furnished apartment, then that’s the best, as you can cook food yourself 😊

@@FoodAndTravelbyAshwini got that! Makes sense. Guess its safe to have boiling hot tea and some hot stuff like bread omlette or maggy made then and there while on the road and idli dosa omlette etc for breakfast if having at hotel!!

arunashis goswami I applied standing in front of the kodai checkpost at 6.30 in morning. I got it in half an hour. Lucky for me, otherwise the police was quite strict and wanted us to drive back home

Rahimulla S 316 no need for covid test. Only epass is required.

Hi mam.... Actually we are planning for a trip. We are totally 6 and our car is Bolero. My doubt is how many members the police is allowing for per car. Waiting for ur clarification mam.

Sathyan Lenin for us police did not have any control over showing allowing people. I had to enter the number of passengers with id proof and car reg number in the epass website. Once I got the e pass, police just copied the pass details in a book and let us enter. So, apply for the pass and if you get for all passengers, police won’t stop you. All the best

Sathyan Lenin oh in that case I don’t know. I saw some people walking over the barricade, but I don’t know much about it. We were two adults and two kids so had no problem.

Road is very good, well maintained. Crowd was nonexistent in September. May have increased a bit now.
