Strawberry Butter Recipe:
1 c. butter softened
1/2 c. strawberries, diced finely
1/2 c. powdered sugar
Mix together until incorporated. Butter will be somewhat clumpy. But it spreads amazingly on warm toast.

The food at the brunch was so beautifully presented. It looks like you and your little girl had a sweet time. If I’m not mistaken - concerning your beautiful new small appliances - the larger pot is an electric kettle. It boils the water for tea or a multitude of uses (making Jello, instant oatmeal, instant hot chocolate…..). I may be stating the obvious here (you did say you don’t drink hot drinks so you may not have much experience with tea-making): only use the kettle for boiling the water. It’s not for making tea. The teabags go in a teapot 🫖, the boiled water is poured over them and then you steep the tea for approximately 3-5 minutes. Never put teapots directly on a stove burner. I hope this isn’t sounding too know-it-all! I’m a tea lover and just want to help! Your new things are so pretty! That aqua is my favourite colour. Blessings from 🇨🇦!

It's wonderful that you have family close by and that you have such a long history with the area. Those memories/ties are a beautiful legacy to pass along to your children. They can't understand that until they get older, but they will eventually see that it is a blessing to be grounded like that.

Kettles are commonplace in the UK, they're for boiling water only, I wouldn't recommend adding coffee or tea into the jug. I just love your enthusiasm for everything, you're a joy Megan.

This is a wonderful video, as are all of yours! I was so happy to see all of your outings together and I was also reminded of the early Saturdays when I went out to garage sales to find things for my little ones. Vonnie looked so grown up at the brunch and the foods were yummy, I’m sure, as they looked delicious! I’m so happy your darling children got their beautiful swing and play set! It’s beautiful and will bring many hours of backyard fun for them!

All of those new coffee and tea things in that pretty green look lovely! 😍 I've been practicing minimalish living for 3 years now and I'm happy to say that I'm able to enjoy watching you open those items and be excited about them without the feeling that I need to have those too. We have a mini Keurig and an aeropress with a electric kettle, so I do not need any of those pour over items or the coffee maker. And we have a toaster oven we use pretty much daily, so I don't need a toaster. 👍🏻

Just finished my weekly grocery shopping and got all the ingredients (Aldi sourdough bread instead of the homemade rosemary bread) for your “fancy” grilled cheese sandwich, can’t wait to try it!! Also, I live in Southern New Jersey, not too far from you and I noticed my local Aldi had some cookware in that minty green color in case you were looking for more kitchen wares to add to your new collection.

My mother used to make us matching outfits for Easter, even the dolls. I didn't like it so much into my double digit years, so enjoy it while your daughter still thinks it's cool. It was so sweet when your son said that you have your own park. It's a very great park and all their friends will want to come over to play. If you’re up for a project, a friend painted their swing set white and it looks SO good!! You could spray paint the blue plastic a different color too. But in the end, the kids probably don’t care, right? Such a fun surprise!

I’m a new subscriber and I just adore your channel! I’m a Christian too but not Mennonite- my uncle was raised as one and my favorite professor in college was a Mennonite too! That mother daughter brunch was seriously so cute! And I understand so well about the after church hunger- I usually do frozen sheet pan vegetables or just simple spaghetti because my husband and I can’t wait long lol. Hi Megan, I use the salad spinner also quite often. The bowl actually is Made from stainless steel so it hast a double use and could bei used to serve the salad as well. I wash the salad in the sink, Put it in the spinner and then Store the spinned salad covered with a wet Papier towel (little piece of Cotton fabric would Work as well) in the fridge. Keeps the salad fresh and crispy for 2-3 days If you keep the towel moist. This way we also use salad on Sandwiches more often, because it is easily available or my boyfriend can throw a salad together in the mornings as a work lunch. Xoxo from Germany Stephanie

Love using my salad spinner basket and insert to wash produce like grapes and strawberries. It’s a great soak option with a strainer.

I grocery shop mostly at Aldi. I shop twice a month. I meal plan and get what I need every two weeks. It’s been working well! It can take a while to meal plan for two weeks at a time and I have to organize/write my list in order of where things are found in the store so that takes awhile too, but I feel like it’s worth it, it makes shopping go faster and it’s nice to not worry about what I’m going to make and to know I have what I need to make it!

Hi, happy belated mother day from Houston! 🌹 it is so good you got the swing set partially put together! I paid 2500 for my daughters when she was only 2 y/o! You will love having it in your yard! When I bought ours it came from Sam’s and was literally in a million pieces! I had to pay a company to install it! It was very expensive, more than you would assume! Take care of the wood, as my daughter is now 12 and the wood was not take. Care of well and is rotting with our Tx heat! You will get great use of it and it will be a great attraction for play dates or great when Miller is napping for the kids to enjoy being outside and you won’t have to drive anywhere! Enjoy! When they were showing that auction I just has a great feeling Josh had it on his mind! Have a wonderful summer!

A tip on the salad spinner: I use it like a colander to rinse my greens; then I store them in the fridge in the salad spinner, and they stay fresh for 1-2 weeks 👍🏻

Look at the smalls faces when josh was saying do you want the swing set 💞 bless them,many hours of fun will be had playing on that. I love that skirt with the shorts underneath its fabulous and looks really nice on, You & vonie looked so precious dressed in your matching dresses going out for a girls afternoon 😍, I still do that now and my daughter is 34 this year. Loved the duck egg blue kitchen items .. I wish I could buy them but I can only have 18/0 stainless steel in any metal items as I have a intolerance to Nickel..but they look so nice,enjoy them 😊. We grocery shop a bit! I’m not as good at meal planning…I have very picky eaters in my home. I kind of write down week to week, but it ends up being day to day. So we are at the grocery store more than we should be. My hubby loves Costco! That’s kind of a date for us.

Every tried toasting your naan or flatbread directly on the stovetop? I do it with all flatbreads (tortillas, naan, pita, etc.) and we love it! It is very quick too:)
