I am traveling to Eureka Springs, AR for the Spring Fling rally, one year after crashing there and totaling my Harley and taking a life flight helicopter ride. Then Memorial Day is a trip with buddies to RedRiver NM, and Sturgis in August.

Myself and 3 buddies are leaving Maine on July 21st and heading west. Will be going to Milwaukee for the homecoming and then off to Sturgis. From Sturgis we’re going to Cody Wyoming and then to Glacier National Park and west again to the pacific coast!! Planning 4-5 weeks on the road. We’re all retired guys. I’ll be 67 this year. We did it in 2022 9361 miles , 27 states in 30 days. Like they say… don’t let the old man in. ;). lol. Have a great day buddy!!

Glad you had a good time. We are going to one up you on the snow, There is a lot of schools that will be closed on Monday. There was a Robin in the bird bath today but I don't think it's going to be finding worms anytime soon. Until then they will be eating the berries off the tree in the lawn. Hope you figure out some good road trips this summer, sounds like fun. You just got to make it happen. I went to the Donnie Smith Bike Show Saturday. If I can't ride bike, it's still fun to look. The show and swap meet is all inside. When I woke up it was 10 degrees so it would have been a little chilly.

I remember going on a field trip in 1st grade to a maple syrup farm..down there.

If I'm lucky, I'll be heading up to New Hampshire for 6 days in August. A friend has a little summer cottage on a lake that serves as home base and we explore NH, Maine, some parts of VT form there. God Bless Itchy. Enjoy your Easter!

My daughter and I will usually head out somewhere on the old Electra Glide. Going to Grand Marais and Munising. Usually we go to Marietta and the Wayne forest area. Really nice riding down there.

A friend and I went on a motorcycle trip once and the 3rd day we decided to get a motel for a good nights rest, and the only room available had a 3’ diameter blood stain on the carpet and the wall had a hole to the outside where the air conditioner once was. 😬

Sir I think you need to check prices at the State Parks for camping " just sayn " I live in East Tennessee so kinda hear some stories from locals. One place I can think of would be the Wheels Through Time over in Maggie NC. I think you might be impressed with that operation years of engineering both home grown and educated. Probably be a 3 day trip from your place . Good luck on your trip planning but do try to enjoy a road trip this year. I'm with on ready for riding weather! Having some of the same conflicts as far as motorcycle trip. Camp off the bike, hotel, or trailer? Undecided. Lol.

Snowed here also on Friday. I’m over it Mark. On my trip out to Sturgis SD in 2017 4 of us tent camped in KOA’s. Actually those are pretty nice and very reasonably priced. The ones we stayed in had showers and real heads. Granted there were 4 of us so safety in numbers. On my trip to DC for Rolling Thunder in 2018 I stayed in Holiday Inn Express. Once the staff would see the bike they’d always tell me to park right by the front entrance so they could keep an eye on it. I thought that was pretty good. Little more expensive but I was on my own that trip so I didn’t mind. I’m just getting too old now to sleep on a rubber bitch on the ground.

Mark, Don't worry about that snow in your yard., it'll melt away "Quick as 3 shakes of a lambs tail"., so my ma used to say. It's one of dozens of olde sayings passed down in the family., olde Yankees you know. Nice to hear about that breakfast deal with kindly neighbors., fifteen bucks with all you can eat is a good take. Around these parts breakfast places don't have all you can eat specials. They also charge $3.50 for a cup of coffee including free refills. So a bunch of us olde tymers do breakfast every Wednesday (riders & nonriders). After that I seldom bother with lunch. Got a call this afternoon from an old friend and he's a bran new rider talking about an end of April weekend ride. As you know that involves more planning for stay-overs. No stealth camping for me. I don't do well sleeping on the ground even with an air mattress. Will have to fill you in on any horror stories if you can stand hearing any more of them. You had your share. Being with my riding buddies will make it ok we hope. thanks.

One trick to hotels is finding out how old they are. Newer typically means good area.

Yes it is time to give some thought about riding out this summer,it would be great to bring a small tent and maybe live every other day like scooter tramp Scotty lol if the wife would go for that,any way happy trails ❤

Have you ever tried Bunk A Biker? I did 2 yrs ago on round trip from Baltimore to Colorado Springs. It was a good experience. Nice people.

My brother in law is buried in the Chatham cemetery. His name was Craig Grills. You might know some of the family they live close by you.

Happy Easter. Christ died on the cross for our sins. Was buried. Rose on the third day. He is alive! I have stayed in some sketchy motels. I look for the cheap ones. One time I literally stayed in a roach motel. As soon as I opened the door a couple of roaches fell off the door frame. I ended up sleeping in my clothes on top of the bed. Before settling down I had the sense to take my travel bag out to my truck. I didn't want to take any "hitchhikers" home with me and luckily, I didn't. Another place was right next to a busy road on a hill. Heavy traffic all night long. Semi trucks going up and down the road using their jake brakes. I have dispersed (free) camp before and this yr my goal is to find more free spots to camp at. I really like the KOA cabins. They are comfy but depending on where you are they are the price of a nice motel room.

I stayed in a big hotel in Hammond Indiana...it was scary....they had turned it into section 8 housing....fights...partying.....gunshots.

Got 2 trips planned this year ( I live north of Detroit) 1. going to Lake George for Americade end of May. 2. Going to Sturgis. Hotels, what has happened since Obama was President, many municipalities contract with the hotel chains to house their welfare and homeless population and now illegal immigrants. I stayed in a nice chain outside Fort Wayne and there were zombies wandering all night. ( The only time I wish I had a weapon) I joined Wynham and book through them, but NEVER in a major city, where the wild ones live. Forget Motel 6 PERIOD. Damn how our elected democrats have sunk our country so fast. At this point I am riding solo, as it is easier that way, don't know anybody anyway since I moved here from Nevada. Going to be a fun year.

Town so small, Electric company couldn't make money, that's why the mill house has water wheel to turn generator 🤣🤣🤣, for over nite stops in south Ohio, have you checked on cabin rentals.

Im new. What state are you in? Im in smokies of western NC. We have dogwood winter and blackberry winter to go yet. It seems to snow when dogwoods are blooming and then blackberries. May 15 is safe to plant garden. You can put in cold weather plants now though. I just watched your other video about “our stuff” and what to do with it, end of life here on earth. I subscribed. I lost my husband at 45. Im going to be 57 in may. I don’t suppose I’ll ever remarry so I think of those things often. I downsized and have had to get rid of so much. Still need to purge more. Nobody is buying anything, have so much away. 18th century antiques and not worth anything. It’s Al a real conundrum. Anyway, im glad i found your channel.

Buy a motorcycle cover, take everything off the bike and spend at least 100 dollars a night on a hotel. You earned it.

Be careful where you leave you bike, i own 3 bikes a road king i got when my sister passed away a 77 kz 1000 and a chopper, I took my chopper to daytona bike week and rented a over price hotel room with my son when I went to ride my bike on the 4th day someone had the b**ls to steal the coils right out of the bike, ruined my father son ride together, I am done with rallies done im still pissed of for this dont know what I would do if I would've caught the person
