This week I discuss AWS certification retirement, Google ABAP SDK, SAP HANA 2.0 SPS 7 latest revision, RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition, Customer Datacentre Option and an alternative short name for it, S/4HANA Cloud 2402 updated products release page and I find that not just the posts on LinkedIn are AI generated in Linked-AI-n.

Great Content Daryl !! Very informative !! I also heard that the OS/DB migration was removed from the available certifications on the learning hub , what a bummer.

Yes we only have E_S4CON_2024 which is just conversion and upgrade, Since OS/DB are managed by SAP as part of RISE ,the DMO which was part of Hana certificate is also removed

They shouldn't have retired the AWS on SAP without a replacement either being in-situ or being planned or having a more concrete road-map. @4:00 I disagree - I think it's a differentiator in showing customers that the consultant knows both SAP and AWS - but the specific services which is needed/used from AWS is concentrated on what's applicable for SAP (EC2, EBS, EFS, R53, DX, VPC & networking etc. not abstract AWS programming services for example). You won't get an interview question about boto3 SDK and Kubernetes integration, but you will get questions about AWS cost and rightsizing EC2 instances etc.)

Devil's advocate here: What if AWS have decided that RISE will win over everything and there's no need to cater for SAP on AWS skills...

@@TechCubicleOnSAP This is already the path that several outsourced Managed Service Partners are following - no clue about Hyperscalar activities and after weeks of Service Requests languishing in no-man's land, eventually the MSP will call the Muttership in DE and someone will take care of it...

Not sure who can answer that. I don't know anyone senior enough at AWS, but if you do and if you find that answer, let me know and I'll do a follow-up story.
