Gotta love the Matthew Reilly collection there. I couldn't in all honesty call the man a good writer. His prose is pretty bad. But man, he does stupid entertainment quite well. Did you happen to catch the movie he wrote and directed on Netflix?

@unlimitedreads it's quite good, actually. Very old school action. Seen people talking about how it isn't realistic but... it's written by Reilly, soooo...
