My husband and I think you have the best videos. That's saying alot coming from my husband who is an artist and instructor and has an eye and appreciation for excellent craftsmanship. Laura, you are so good in answering questions graciously that sometimes rub me the wrong way. I consider your new studio as a gift to your followers in making sure your videos are the highest quality and you remain good stewards of efficiency and effectiveness. What would be fun is seeing the progression of different beds over the years. No editing just stacking videos together that were all filmed in the same section of your yard. Just an idea for the down time.

Suggestion for the original wallpaper and other "originals", keep a swatch and frame it in a window box with a photo of old house, etc.

Instead of ripping out the hardwood floor , why not consider having them refinished? You can stain them any color you like. Seal them with a matte or glossy finish. A family member did a matte finish and they are gorgeous.

hi knob and tube wiring has been outlawed in many parts of the country. some are actually aluminum wire and not copper, because it was cheaper back in the day. It can heat up much faster and is a fire hazard. I would move this replacment to the top of the list ASAP!!!!

Just a thought on your house floors, my mom had the same problem. She was able to have her existing hardwood floors refinished to a completely different color and finish. They look like totally new floors but it was much cheaper than refinishing them.

I'm a twin... My mom gave birth to 2 girls weighing a total of 8 pounds 6 ounces... I weighed 4 lbs 6 oz and my sister weighed 4 pounds.... So excited for baby girl to arrive.... God bless you, Aaron , Benjamin and baby girl

You are growing a baby and it takes a toll. My midwife got mad at me when I complained of being tired and told me “You’re growing a new spine in there, you should be tired!” I didn’t complain again

I'm 100% with you on the c-section appreciation. I had one with both my kids and it was amazing. I was awake through both and got to feed and hold my babies soon after. Can't wait to meet her.💞💞💞

Instead of a changing table I had a chest made that I could use later as furniture. I put a changing pad on top. Now they have the sloped pillow that you could put on top. You can put the diapers in the drawers and other baby supplies. I still have the chest 40 years later

If you want to still honor the house’s original wallpaper you could try to save a small square of it and frame it once you take it down to replace! Love your videos!

I wanted to tell you about a timer system that my husband discovered. It's called Go Sund. They are outlets you plug into your existing outlets and you download an app for your phone and you can name each outlet and set the timers from your phone! There are indoor types and outdoor types, different sizes and shapes, etc. We LOVE them! The app is on both of our phones so when you said you run your grow lights for 14 hours per day, I immediately grabbed my phone and changed the hours - it was that quick! Since Aaron is tech savvy, i thing he might really enjoy these outlets. We have our outdoor fountains on them so they automatically come on and turn off - we even had all of our Christmas lights/decorates on the outlet timers. They worked perfectly!

The comment about too much money being spent on the studio vs a greenhouse... it’s not like you built a whole new structure. You used the existing barn! You deserve real credit for being so ingenious!!

Make sure the doctor get a q tip with the liquid and coat the baby's mouth. When the baby is born naturally as it passes through the birth canal it ingesting some the liquid and it forms the intestinal flora otherwise can develop issues, I wish I knew abot it when my kid was born he is 28 now and has stomach problems. Very important. I wish I knew at least to give him baby probiotics which I had no idea existed.... Just a suggestion actually! God bless you! Hugs🙏💜🤗😘

Laura..I had my one and only child at age 45..as well, I didn't know I was pregnant til I was 6 and a half months along. I was terrified...I talked to my Dr..we finally agreed to do a C-Section. I don't regret it at all..it was safe for myself and my son. He's six now and doing great! All the best to you and your family!!!

a good floor guy can refinish floors to match. much cheaper than replacing real hard wood flooring. my kitchen runs into living room, have to look real hard to tell which was replaced.

As far as the wood floors you can sand down the floors and restrain to a color you prefer. That would probably be less expensive. Love your attitude about getting rid of plants that aren’t working for you or they are old. My husband is like “ oh how can you kill that plant” and I’m like “they don’t know I’m killing them-get over it”

Laura, I had a C section too. Thankful that I did. My baby was 8 pounds 8 ounces. The hospital staff was very kind. The Dr said that my son was up high, he never fully moved down. They joked that he was so comfy all nestled up in there. He did not want to come out.They had to pull him out also. God Bless and good luck.

All I can say as I sit here on my couch with my little old dog is 'Man, I just love you Laura and Aaron!' Loving the comments about the wide windowsills! When we bought our current home and renovated, I made sure we had wide windowsills everywhere - just for plants! Awesome!!! And....I, too,, would love a walk-through because I have somehow missed seeing a descriptive tour of your interior and have always been fascinated by your home. It has SO much character!

I think having a little seating area in the studio. With a table and maybe a small couch 🛋. A nice area rug would be perfect. U could even use it as a filming space for little sit downs. Just like this one!!

I'm a late night sleeper with insomnia too. Always up past midnight. We went to Hawaii and I was actually sleeping on a normal schedule. I found my perfect time zone!

I watched one of your old videoes in 2017 when you had a lot of snow. It was interesting to watch, so old videos' would be great.

I understand where you're coming from with an old house and its additions. Ours was built by my grandparents and had a box like addition put on by my parents in the 70s. We do what we can, and I think some of those imperfections are what give our houses personality! Lol at the Shell idea! If you have time, look up the building process of the Nebraska state capitol building. They actually built it in sections around the old capitol and kept working inside until the new one was finished. It's kind of amazing.

I ditched the changing table after baby #1. By the last it was down to a basket of supplies and a mat that fit into basket. Always used the sofa.

An outdoor rug would be great in the studio. Adds some color and some noise reduction but can be pressure washed if it gets dirty.

We have soft water to every tap in our home except the fridge water (ice/water dispenser on the front of the fridge). So I fill up a couple gallon jugs (empty milk jugs) at a time, and use that water for watering my houseplants. Otherwise I would have to go outside and get water out there, and our spigots are covered this time of year.

I love the quirky multi-level effect of your house. Ours is relatively new (1980s) but has a sunken dining room and odd balcony over the entrance hall. It suits us. We are quirky and I think you are too. Anxiously awaiting the birthday!

All water in my house WAS softened, including drinking water due to heavy rust, which was affecting our health. When a new softener was installed, I asked for a spigot before the softener to which I now have a hose attached. Perfect for watering overwintered geraniums in the basement and getting gallon jugs of water for plant watering, if I so choose.

Fun video, and so relaxed. The rest did you all good. So much going on it is good to let the “brain” have some R and R!!! Because of the c-section you might as well set up a changing table downstairs.....somewhere🤩🤩🤩

We made sound panels, 7 layers of towels in a frame covered with window panels for our our echoey great room, they look like art and work beautifully.

I would love a video series where you took footage from each season you have lived there of a particular area and showed the changes each year and you talked about the area and what you liked best, etc. The year over year transformation is so awesome. Hi Laura and Aaron ~ My hubby, who us a retired fire captain, highly recommends and stresses you have the old part of your home checked to see if it is knob and tube. If it is, there is a higher fire risk because that type of wiring is bare wires and is dangerous - hubby thinks they stopped using that type of wiring in the 1920s/1930s. Put other none essential plans on hold and move forward on this essential safety issue as soon as possible please!!!!!
