Are you in my head??? Thanks! I exercise to keep muscle, warm my body, keep my heart reminded I need it, and do what I can live with the rest of my happy days!!! I walk 2-3 miles a week and exercise 45 minutes using a circuit type training that is well rounded, 3 days a week. I feel positive about the changes I see and feel. Motion is lotion my mom says!!!!

Excellent reminder. I strength train three days per week. My program includes heavy lifting and volume training. You are correct; you have to look at the long game. Many of the dietary interventions that make using a GLP-1 med successful, such as increasing protein intake and lifting weights, will build muscle. That is what you want for long-term success and improved quality of life as you age. As you say the scale is not the place to see those changes, the tape measure is. Also, take photos of yourself to compare changes in your body composition.

Another thing to remember is that as you are beginning to strength train and exercise, your muscles will be inflamed and retain water which can up the number on the scale.

Today was my 4th dose of the starter does, i am down about 6 lbs from beginning, before mounjaro, I was on victoza, during that time I lost a lot of strength but only about 10 lbs on the scale, I am still weaker than I have been in years, im starting a little weights this week and maybe the pool at the ymca, hopefully that's the right thing to do, even my laundry basket carrying it to the clothes line is heavy

You are so right, Ally!!! If I didn't have my body composition scale, I would be really bummed... but when I constantly see my fat mass going down and muscle mass going up... I get excited again! I think a body composition scale is a "must have" on this journey.
