Hi Wayne. Nice to see you back on the tube. Yes i rem Pownalls well in Regent Rd. Has that big fishing float outside. When we were kids my Dad always took me in there to look at the fishing rods and bait. I used to look in awe at the air pistols and rifles. Looks like the shops expanded in your pic as i thought it was smaller.

Thanks Tony , I lost interest with the last lockdown , nothing else in my life changed , I worked everyday through all 3 lockdowns , and the only thing that changed in my life was the shooting clubs were closed , I got fed up with it all , I have different opinions on all this covid business to most , but hopefully that will be in history now never to be seen again in our lifetimes , cheers Shane

Sorry mate, guessed what was as soon as you said it was light weight, I did exactly the same as you lost a bit of weight and strength down to illness so bought a 57. Mines a .22 and was very accurate right out off the box. Using 2.5 X 10 x42 scope I was hitting bottle tops at 40 yards so to each his own It'll do for me .

Hi Shane, great to see you back, hope you continue to stay well. I had a 57 way way back and remember it as a very usable piece of kit. Regarding Air Arms I think they have lost the plot on pricing, 2 massive price rises since the pandemic started. They are selling springers (Pro Sport) for almost £1k and an extra £70 for left hand. Yet they are selling their s410 PCP for the same price with 2 Mags. That seems like a quick way to kill the springers.
@beverleyweightman44372 жыл бұрын
Yeh , every thing seems to be ridiculously expensive, typically the things you need , Air Arms do make some very good guns , but I’m not paying them prices , they can stick them l o l , I’ll stick to me Weihrauch, thanks for the comment buddy , you take care thanks Shane

Welcome back Shane, hope you're better. Like the look of your HW57 .177 cal , and look forward to your review. This new mk2 version looks the biz, I like it, and may get one myself. Currently I own a HW77k .22 mk 1 1984 model. It's a heavy beast, and more so now I'm in my early 60's ! So this new 57 could be the answer me thinks.

Great to see you back and looking forward to seeing you shoot the HW57, a gun that has interested me for a while. I completely agree about Air Arms, very unfair on lefties, can't understand why they do that. ATB MMMD

tx 200 can be had w left hand stock . i think. tx is nice but so is the hw77 or 97. equal really but the tx much easier to service.
@fredsolley20852 жыл бұрын
Hw 57 is a wonderful rifle....quick loading ( with some practice) and extremely accurate....really cant fault it...and a bargain price compared to the other big...awkward...Clumsy..under leavers from wierach,

Answered at 2:00 hw57. For me when you said you won’t guess the model gave it away, not very popular they can be abit harsh to shoot. Take power down to around 7-8 ftlbs they not to bad then
@motorcyclesandthings86332 жыл бұрын
This one’s not harsh , feels quite refined , thanks for the comment , thanks shane
