Weird Al's influence is one reason nerd cultures are so popular today. He showed it's okay to proudly enjoy the things you like. Then to just be a good dude and positive person that's so clearly thankful for his fans and life. It's like just such a great example. Can we take a moment to appreciate the mood of the protagonist of this video? His confidence is honestly inspiring, he seemingly has no concept of embarrassment. He never shows any shame in how people react to him and his lifestyle. Weird Al did such a good job portraying how happy this man is to be himself, the huge smile on his face at all times shows obviously how much he loves his life.

On September 1st, 2019, approximately 5-6 hours before he was scheduled to perform his last show of his Strings Attached tour at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, AR, Weird Al came and visited me for about 15 minutes while I was at UAMS being treated for cancer (I have Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma; was diagnosed with it on May 30, 2019). My sister went all over social media to try to get someone to contact him and let him know that a big fan of his was in the hospital, and she was hoping that he would get the message (I dropped all my social media contacts for reasons which I won't go into here). You see, she initially was going to get me tickets to see him at Verizon Arena, but when the diagnosis came in, she thought the next best thing would be to try to get Mr. Al's attention and get him to visit me. Well, let me tell you, that 15 minute visit with him was far, far better than seeing him in concert (I have seen him in concert five times before, and he has always put on a great show), and I will, for as long as I can remember, be grateful to him for taking time from his schedule to see me. And with just five hours before his show started... Weird Al has always struck me as being a celebrity that has not allowed celebrity status to get to his head, and this visit confirmed it for me. And his visit could not have come at a better time, given that my overall stay was about 16 days when it was only supposed to be about 6-7. It was incredibly discouraging and frustrating for me to have to stay that long, and his visit did so much to lift my spirits. It really, really did. I know my post will get swallowed up by all the other posts that have been made here, and I don't expect anyone to respond or read it. That's A-OK with me. But if Weird Al should, by the stroke of random chance, happen to read this, I want him to know that I am so incredibly grateful to him for taking the time to see me. It could not have come at a better time. Thank you, sir. Thank you for your kindness. God bless you and keep up the fine work. P.S At this moment, my cancer is in complete remission. Praise God for that!

It suck how he's not praised for being lyrical. Rap, rock, pop etc. The man has flow with extreme punctuality that gets overlooked because he's does parodies. The man has extreme talent that spanned out throughout 40 years. He is the fucking legend

My friend & I took my daughter to a Weird AL concert about 15 yrs ago. Ended up at the front row barrier. Al sang to my daughter, which was so cool! We had a blast! We're white & Nerdy!

Did who the hell ever buried "Spike Jones and His City Slickers," dare to be stupid and bury them Legendary Entertainers/Musicians, on top of, this wide, weird World, of Burials? I thought soil. Above ground Burials are only stupid, if Grave Robbers frequent the area, in caseket i forgot.

Weird Al is one of only four artists in history who have had a top 40 hit in 4 separate decades So when people say something like, oh he's just a comedy guy, or just whatever, remember he's in a category that includes only Madonna, Michael Jackson, and U2. He's literally one of the rarest, most talented and successful musicians of the last century. Love this guy

@@mikolokim8182 incorrect! Cher's career as a recording artist spans seven decades and she is the only artist to have a number-one single on a Billboard chart in each of past six decades. This feat was accomplished when "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" reached number one on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart the week of January 19, 2011. Pretty amazing!
