I remember Rage of Gladiators and Zombie Panic in Wonderland. Mostly Rage of Gladiators, which is my faborite WiiWare game (although I played only demo). Zombie Panic in Worderland however is the best looking WiiWare game (cuz I am a weabo 😉).

Zombie Panic in Wonderland is very similar in concept to Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for DS. Both games also feature Momotaro as a playable character.

The characters in zombie panic in wonderland kind of resemble the designs of my characters. Cute creatures with violent weapons. It’s like giving a baby unicorn a machine gun.

That zombie game is a spiritual sequel to another zombie game: Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for the DS. Yes, that's a real game title and yes, it's awesome.

That last game actually had a lot of charm to it. I love how fast the animations can be. It somehow has that official Nintendo feel to it.

Rage of the Gladiator is also on 3ds. And I don't think it directly took inspiration from Punch Out. It was more from Infinity Blade, which was one of the most popular Ios games at the time. Also, the Zombie game looked a bit like Sin and Punishment. Kinda. Just a very dumbed down Arcade version

I actually have zombie panic n wonderland on my 3ds, It's a pretty weird game... but also really fun to play and gets incredibly ridiculous later on... worth the 5$ it costs, The 3ds version is actually way better looking as well.
