For the longest time I thought my parents were weird cuz I thought of them as my best friends. Growing up, they would let me join in on whatever they were doing as long as it was safe for me, so if they were working on a jigsaw puzzle, I joined them, if they were decorating, I joined them. Cooking? Hell yeah I joined them. And for all the weird stuff I did, they joined me. It wasn't until around 5th grade when my mother came in to help out with class that I realized nobody else had fun with their folks, and that made me sad. Your parents could be your best friend! Enjoy their company!

Ahh yes, the dad shirt. I love it when my dad complains that he needs to buy new shirts(just as an excuse for him to buy new clothes) because I get to haggle with him. Because he oversized shirts are the best!

My parents tried to teach me money management by taking me and my siblings out to dinner and saying that they don’t have enough money to pay for the meal every time we went out and that lead me to become paranoid and stingy with money. We love weird parenting skills!
